i love it more when you move over to the left to let someone in the highway, then they pass you and next thing you know theres a wall of traffic next to you so you cant get over.

Oh but how about these idiot 4 wheelers that run themselves off the road because they dont know how to merge, and you cant let them in. Then they flip you off, call safety, etc...bah. F trucking...

I saw the word Dallas in the first thread. Dallas and Houston tie for the worst drivers in MY opinion.

Most truckers respect people on the side of the road.

I broke down in Dallas once and the wrecker came. People were buzzing us left and right.

The wrecker driver said watch this... he swung the boom from the truck about one foot into the granny lane. They were slamming on their brakes and getting over then.
He said they won't get over for me, but they will get over for that boom.

That being said, throw you a orange cone or something a little out in the lane. They'll move for something that can't jump.

At worst, if an orange cone flies by your head, you'll know you are about to get hit. :)

Actually right now I dont have any traffic cones. I am looking into getting 4 or 5 in the next week or so... But believe me, they wont be anywhere near my truck, they will be a ways back!

I would suggest starting about 30 feet angled outwards. It seems to be a safe distance for them to notice.

I blew a tire on I 39 a few weeks ago. Once I accessed the damage, I Decided to drive it on to the next exit and pulled into the back of a parking lot just so the one who I hired to change the tire wouldn't have to put up with the traffic.

Here in St. Pete, they passed a law banning ALL(even the fire dept!) roadside solicitors. Of course people are fighting it.

I for one think it's great.

That would be great, if they have the huevos to do it. Undoubtedly the ACLU will decide that this is worthy of them making it a "cause.":biggrin_25510:
