Bingo! I too would never own a truck unless I was in control. While my semi days are done, here's my daily,,okay weakly driver. Not one sensor or chips, except the ones on the floor,,and the only thing electronic is the ignition and the cassette player, it actually has 2 anti-theft devices, the 4 speed and setting the choke,, and dag nabit, that's the way I likes it. I hope they hit every cheap freight mega in the country. Would be nice to get $5 a mile daily again.

Both my vehicles require a little instruction to start now that Ive owned them for decades. One has a push button start along with ignition ON,,the other has a fuel shutoff switch. Neither were for security, just that I dont always subscribe to fixing things the way a dealer might.

On the plus side it will sideline a lot of the auto shift steering wheel holders.

There’s a real problem here with a guy or guys going around with a battery saw and cutting off catalytic converters. There’s also been problems with people going around siphoning diesel from truck tanks. I’m not a bit surprised to hear they steal parts from trucks now.

I needed a water pump for my truck and Freightliner told me I’d have to pay for it and then get on the wait list because they were back ordered. The guy said it would be several months. Thankfully I found a rebuilt one at a different place. That could have put me out of business I think. Or I could have found a parked truck like mine and had one in a few minutes. Just kidding y’all know I would never do that. ;)

One dealer is taking CPC’s out of truck and putting a sign on the window stating that because if they don’t they come in to busted windows in the morning.

I know they have hit multiple dealers where they stole out of numerous trucks in each lot. They can go online and see how many units each place has that match what they are looking for.

    JoeyJunk Thanks this.
