well guys, I finally got everything finished my authority is up and active and I am ready to roll.

I booked my first load yesterday and booked a second one earlier today.

My question is concerning rate cons, the one I received yesterday wasn't signed by the broker so I signed it and sent it back asking her to sign it and send me a copy as well for my record. I didn't want my driver to move without a signed copy so I called her and they were closed. I got her on the phone this morning and she signed and emailed me the rate con.

The second one I received earlier today wasn't signed as well, so what gives? Is this normal? are they suppose to sign it then send it to me? or do I need to sign each one and ask for a signed copy from them?

and on a side note, I cant BELIEVE what most of these brokers want loads moved for!:violent1:

    thanks guys.

I've never had them sign it. In the beginning with new brokers they request I sign and return. As you make relationships they will take you at your word that you will do the load as discussed and as it is on your rate con.

Mine come signed by broker which I receive via email. I use a PDF editor app to sign digitally then email back to broker/freight forwarder.

In my experience it depends on the broker. Some want a signed rate con some do not. When you invoice you might find some brokers want the signed rate con as part of the paperwork you send with your invoice.

As for rates they have been horrible lately and just sheer amount of loads coming available seems light as well. Thats for flatbed at least.
