Don't get me started. Demand down 10% in a week, 63% year over year (worst region in US). Only ME and VT seem to have some little demand. RI and CT among biggest dropoffs last week.
ME PA CT and DE fell huge for loads, and RI and VT have too many trucks looking. Rates fell out last week in MD. PA, VT, CT, RI, DE, NJ desparate searching for loads, especially CT. Only ME seems to have low enough trucks and a few loads, and ME, VT have least drop in rates last week. Sorry, wish I had better news.

@QuietStorm and @86scotty Chins up boys, there is always opportunity if you provide good service. Sorry its tough out there.
    A few opportunities...
Rocky Mountain/Central is ok-ish year over year, down a lot less than elsewhere. Anywhere KS and CO up to MT and ND. SD has some ok van rates, average is up a little last week.
Southeast always still has best rates, AL up a little.
If you're in Northeast, try MD.

Three cheers for the Midwest and its decent freight volumes: it is the only region where average rates actually slightly rose this week, with every other region flat for slightly down. If you can, perhaps avoid the Southeast (down a few points), especially FL, and don’t mistake NE and WY for Midwest, as they are bottom 5 states (rates dropped the most). If you’re going Northeast, skip RI and MD, and it CT or NY. Also, for slightly selfish reasons, I must mention that ID is a top 5 (rates rose the most).

But wherever you go, take courage that the next 4 weeks look flat, if not even slightly up.

How about Rockies (Utah, Idaho, Montana) to Central Midwest (Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky)... And back again to Rockies. Reefer and/or Van.

I'm not an OO but curious just the same.

That #### usually pays $1.30-$1.40 a mile. Sometimes less, sometimes more when harvest comes.

Only place Ive ever picked up from in your list was SLC and I got $2/mi to IL because it had an extra day on the transit time.

If I go to SLC ill make sure I get enough to deadhead somewhere better.

I run those lanes every week... I know that in June my company was getting about $4350 for about 1800 miles going from the Rockies to the mid west... And last month I hauled a load from rockies to St. Louis for about $3150 for 1600 miles... But I'm not sure what the back hauls pay.

Those lanes are is about 90% of what the company I work for does. Just interested in the numbers myself though.
