Uncle bought my ‘67 Pete for 27k. His 3 ‘74’s were around 29k each. They are still worth that. Lol! I think I remember my god fathers ‘84 359 being around 80k.

I woke up yesterday morning to a dead 5 year old optima battery in my pickup. Went out this morning and they now cost $300 Brandons. Noticed our local Velero has diesel for 4.49 Brandons. Up a quarter over night.

Spec wise they were very similar. They both had 13’s and 4.11 rears. Grandpa’s had a 350 Cummins and dad’s had a 400. The interior on the FL was quite a bit nicer like they were back then, but other than that not much different.

How much of that stuff do you use on avg? Are you filling up that little tank like once a day? I have no idea how that works.

    Rideandrepair and JonJon78 Thank this.

The sad thing is....there isnt much technology in a new truck really. Heck, we just got 1970s tech in trucks a few years ago. Everything has really stayed the same. Here's a serious question for you. Why is it we still don't have Airbags or crumble zones? You know, basic safety crap that's 30 years old?

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

Volvo has had airbags for years, my 2001 has one. Trucks don’t have crumple zones like autos do, they are designed to separate from the frame.
