Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

That's not the case. Many illegals were given illegally SSN's, CDL's, free phones, free hotels...
More than 50% of the truck drivers on the road today are ineligible to have CDL's for some reason. Just go to any busy truck stop and look carefully around you.

 

I was talking to one of my main brokers I deal with today about it today as well. They are pretty worried about this situation. They cut rates pretty bad this year and now thinking they are gonna lose a lot because of this. He doesn't deal with many of them because he has an established O/O's he works with, but some of the other brokers that work with him are trying to find more O/O's to work directly with. I just hope it gets enforced.

 

Just today at a pick up had a guy in front of me that could not speak English. They push me in front of him and I get backed into door right away. While they are loading me this guy finally gets a door and needs to slide tandems for this location. He backs to door and then drives across the road dragging the tires all the way bouncing the whole way. Finally gets out and the door is lose so he has to open it again. Then proceeds to drag tires again for 20 yards or more. Finally figured out he had not released the locks. He has a few flat spots on those new tires now. Gonna guess he has never moved his tandems before. Can't wait to see these people get out of our industry.

If you look you can see the black marks the tires left. Guy comes out right as he is doing this and gave me my paperwork. Said he might not load him, not sure if they did or not because I left.

 

So what you're saying is the load to truck ratio is going to go up in red states along with rates, and blue states are going to be swamped with "no engrish" drivers turning their roadways into death traps and parking lots ?
Sounds to me like everyone is getting what they deserve.

 

Blue states will force "legacy American" drivers running local routes to give up their jobs to the "new Canadian" drivers and go OTR for interstate commerce. So people living in blue states will be sitting around the house when a Home depot truck pulls up and drops a refrigerator they didn't order in the front yard and when they start asking about it the driver is just going to yell "no engrish" get in the truck and drive away.

 

Guess someone gets a new free fridge.

What? Based on the driver's name he is probably here on U4U program, not H2B visa. If it's posted online, does not mean they know the difference or know what they are talking about
