Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Well my Denver curse continues, 3 options for loads back and all of them fell apart, guess we’ll flip a coin and head for either Nebraska or Kansas empty and see what we can find on the ole interweb tomorrow morning

 

Only 3 fell through out of Denver? Were any of them north of 1.50/mile?

 

I don't even look in Denver. I've got some contacts south of there, or I'll go grab hay, or rock, or I'll DH home.

But those 86 cent a mile loads are money for somebody.

 

Last time I got stuck in Denver, which was like the first and last time, I headed out in eastern CO and got a potato load headed to KC. Paid ok but then I dealt with the aftermath of hauling wet potatoes in a dry van. I haven't done that again either.

 

Denver hasn't changed since the 80s by the sound of it.

I was leased to an outfit that had an IBP contract. I wouldn't even look at loads out of Denver, but head for Nebraska instead.

 

The main one was of the companies we trade off work with, they just had a bunch of orders fall through, my second plan was load of meat up by Nebraska that goes to one of the spots I usually pick up Fridays in jersey, apparently that wasn’t shipping this week


trying to get back to PA to load Saturday morning to go home, but I don’t think I can run this run that tight, I hate having days off in the truck, so if I’m going to be out for two weekends I think I’ll just stick with the Seattle stuff instead

Headed for Ogallala or North platte depending how I feel, now that I stopped for a snack I’ll either be wired for the night or ready to pass out in 20 minutes, if I can’t find anything tomorrow morning I may just keep truckin east as I have quite a bit of stuff to do next week up by the house. but id like to find something NE/IA/MN back to PA area , I went out for over 10k, so I’m not really “stuck”,

 

The new Fat Dogs is open in North Platte at the 179 on the north side. It will have plenty of parking.

 

I miss going to Denver, absolutely loved it. For almost 3 years we had a dedicated run MI-CO-ND-MI. Then CO factory moved to Mexico and the run fell apart

 

My company always sends us back to SLC from denver.. well one time they send me the rate con on accident and im pretty sure i was the only one on that deal making any money... Have hauled sail boat fuel out of there a handful of times as well..
