If anyone reading this post hasn't invested a few bucks into those windows screens for trucks you absolutely should! Been using them for two years now and it really beats idling all night. Perfect time of year to give them a try too.

My engines finally sealing up, at 93k. Quit using oil, MPG went from 5 to 5.5 mpg. Last roughly 2600 miles, I got 6.35. I slowed down a bit. Idled as little as possible. Just to see how well it could do. Still was heavy over 50% of the time. Had to idle some. Now I need to run the overhead, see if it improves any. Been running it hard, to break it in. Now it’s time to go back to driving for fuel economy.

    I used to respect freightwaves
Mainly because they are the 1 And only media outlet to cover the trucking industry in depth... Someone raised the question about where does their information actually come from? And why does no one else have access to it unless you pay them? Why do they never give a contraian perspective to what they are reporting?

Before it was the world is ending and everybody is going out of business, they were the hardest pushers of the ata's narrative of the driver shortage. Which is a load of crap.. in my opinion all news agencys should give both sides of the story... Not everybody fails in bad times. Some companies will thrive, some will fail, some will barely hang on... But theres always ways to navigate whatever the situation is at hand...

Theres is opportunities to fail in the good times, just as there is opportunities to succeed in the bad times... But fear sells. we should all know that, after the covid news and all the brain cells we have lost after having that news programmed into our brains for the last couple years...people are not going to stop buying ####. Trucks are not going to stop moving. There's always going to be work somewhere, whether it pays enough for you as a business owner, that is your decision. But that is a choice each and every one of us has to make.

Don't buy in to the mindset that the state of the market determines your success and failure. I sure as hell dont need a news station telling me if im going to lose or win. What the hell do they know? Thats the best question to ask.

I have a couple of large cars and want to put an APU on them (they already have bunk heaters and the ROI hasn't been there for an APU but they are now) but you can't find them anywhere. Carrier is sold out until 2023 and earliest I could find a Thermo King is August.

Ill give you a good price on my tripac evolution. But u got to hire a shop to get it off my truck. Or ill help you if you wanna do it yourself...it runs good when it works. Ive been chasing alternator problems in it for a year. But the engine is rock solid.
