We actually have to re do both doors because the gel coat is basically gone and down to fiberglass and the paint is peeling. Fiberglass work and new gel coat. Your welcome to come watch. I've never painted before and I'm gonna try painting this time

I know there was a thread on here a couple months ago about paint vs wrap .. I followed it but never came to a conclusion .. I got a truck in need of new makeup ..
I know it's derailing this doom & gloom thread . But anybody have any thoughts ?

Haven't read the thread, but full wraps peel off really easy unless the surface is prepped really well. Every one of the trailers we had wrapped for a customer looked like crud insuude 2 years.

    Rideandrepair and JoeyJunk Thank this.

Yes. And I think it was mentioned that if it’s scratched or damaged the repair never looks good. Something like that.

I googled my paint code from the Dealer, per vin#. Found it online. $35 a can. Going to get some, touch up my fairing. The rest just rub out best I can. Add some vinyl stripes over a couple spots. It should all blend in good enough. A decent look at 20 ft. 65 mph is all that’s needed. Look closely at most Trucks, new or old, the paint jobs aren’t the best. Too nice, and it’s a burden keeping it that way. A do it yourself job can be done, and look as good as most. New Gravity fed guns, waste little paint. Bad Brad on YouTube has a wealth of knowledge.
