These TMC brokers somehow managed to be cheaper than TQL & Cheap/Heavy Robinson.

Nice try, I don’t take overinflated runs to Colorado, now matter how good they pay. Guys like you that bash LS, either came over here and failed miserably because they couldn’t book their own freight, and didn’t build relationships with agents. Or have never been at LS, and talk out their arse about the dreaded 35%. I make good money every week, because I know my lanes, and I’ve built relationships with agents that give me loads that never ever see the load boards.

You can do all those things including building relationships with brokers without giving up 25%-35%.
They take a awful lot of money when more of it should be in your pocket.

RefMata, BoostedTeg and mitmaks Thank this.

    #### people getting protective over things they don’t own or operate.

who cares if someone is bashing a broker you like. It’s like politics and people get but hurt over someone talking crap about their favorite politician. Listen neither the politician or broker needs your help to protect its reputation.

I hate many brokers too. I have never driven for LS but know that a lot of their brokers double broker.

When I search for a load on DAT, I immediately block TQL postings and Landstar ones. There used to be a time when Landstar had good paying direct customers loads, but in the last few years it's all double brokered garbage crap.
Maybe their good agencies cover everything with Landstar BCO's and don't post on general load board anymore. I don't know

TQL is the worst at posting loads in fake locations without putting the real location in the posting.

Call on one today that was 360 miles more than lane posted.
    Crazy.

Nah, my reply was to you. You’ve still not given a reason to thumb your nose at something just based on a percentage and nothing more. Just seems foolish to me to make general statements without knowing the whole picture. You nor me nor anyone else that isn’t there doing have no idea what is being offered to their trucks before it goes to the load board.

I have given a reason, it's extremely way to high of a percentage to be giving up.
You can find loads, build relationships and etc all without having to give up 25-35%
That's a lot of money to be throwing away.

The agents there aren't going to pay huge premium to those Landstar drivers right now in this trash market when countless drivers in the market are lined now to take cheap freight.

    The market is bad now.
The market is no longer pay whatever it takes it get a truck, now brokers know they can move loads for cheap. That's the market we are in and that plus giving up a huge percentage is tough.

Brokers, Landstar agents included don't have to pay much to get loads moved now unfortunately.

If you're leased to a carrier giving up a big percentage BUT they are locked into good contract freight that's a different story.
Seen a thread of USA truck guy doing well still.
