Exactly. I call it “set and forget”. If your a carrier you want to be that go to, if your a broker you want to have those carriers to go to with the good stuff that’s utmost importance.
Oh and those that don’t post your truck, that’s just leaving money in the table not to mention those are sometimes opportunities to get in on some good relationships. See above.
Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

This popped up on my YT... You can Google the Flying Js CEO full video yourself... Pretty crazy stuff when you actually connect the dots like this guy is pointing out....

On ITS if you look at a load it will show the broker. It will give them your contact information. If they need a carrier they will call you. I have found that weeds out a lot of the BS calls. In my segment there is rarely more than a 100 loads in a 200 mile radius. Posting may work better if there are 500 loads in a 50 mile radius. Especially if it’s changing and updating rapidly.

Rates in California have pretty much fallen into The Pacific. With a little luck, the rest of the state will follow.

There's many desperate brokers out there everyday.
In flatbed world I've experienced loads where a crew and/or crane was already set up with appointment. If a broker fails to get that load cover there is hell to pay.
I've experienced both in flatbed, van & reefer where they flat out told me on the phone this shipper is out of space and this load has to move.
Or there's a production line down that cannot continue without load/part.
Or there's a construction site where construction cannot continue until piece arrives.
I've done electrical loads on flatbed where there was some kind of power failure and load was urgent.
Most all the time none of those loads make it to the board.
Results are expected and quick on loads like that.
Brokers have told me those juicy details before pricing even gets discussed.
While on the phone I'll quickly do a search to see what other loads are posted for and see if load being discussed is posted, most often it's not.
Loads posted on the boards, especially ones without a rate posted often can sit around and wait for a cheap truck.
The best ones & urgent ones most often like others have said don't make it to the board.
Brokers have their reliable carriers they call up first or seek out an available truck posted on priority loads.
In the truck posting when I include "empty now" I noticed I get more action.
Let all the cheap freight sit and have brokers call/email you and fight for your truck. -
Is van/reefer like that now too there?Dave_in_AZ Thanks this.
