yeah I figured that out a while ago. robo-trucks will be great for linehaul for companies with terminals all over. But you'll still need drivers for the actual pickup and deliveries.

There must be some software out there that auto dials good paying loads.
I've gotten beat out too many times for it to be legit.

In the future probably not. All warehouses will be fully automated with robot forklifts (these already exist).. A truck enters a warehouse and communicates with the warehouse computers which direct it to which dock to go to... Truck computer opens doors or the "remote dispatcher" presses button .. Truck gets loaded by fully automated 100% efficient warehouse... Another button can be pressed to close door and to slide tandems... There are no humans involved so no inefficiencies.... No more waiting time at the dock...

The future is great for everyone involved.

Plenty of automated warehouses already. You can watch some people really struggle backing perfectly in line with the door. Autonomous trucks will back perfectly all the time.

I've always enjoyed the relatively unknown youtube blogger "Slavka Alabamka Trucking", and thought some of you might find this short video on current freight market conditions interesting:

As well, if you'd like some good entertainment and a spiritual pick me up, try watching his next video showing his hauling a load across the Canadian Rockies for $8 per mile afterward (I only wish I could snag a load like this right now). Leave upvotes if you can. IMO this driver deserves more than he's getting:
