My fuel cost is more like $.60 mile.
Insurance ( truck & workman's comp ) $.05 mile
Permits and plates $.02 mile
I'll say equipment and maintenance is accurate $0.57 mile
Bennies ( medical ) $0.05 mile
Admin ( I'll use my accountants fee ) $0.008 mile
Tires are in with equipment and maintenance.
I keep what's left over.
So moar like $1.30 or $1.40 to actually operate the truck. -

I'm getting fuel at 4.5 a gallon not great but better then 5, and average 3.5 a mile running reefer southeast and Midwest region. Could be better, I guess but I'll manage
