If you have time go back and read that thread. He packed all kinds of tools and spare parts. It’s been a while since I’ve read it but I recall him doing wheel seals or a wheel bearing, I don’t remember for sure, on the side of the road. He carried impact wrenches and everything he needed.

Came back from a month long vacation and this is how the first week went with van.
MI-IA 1500
IA-OH 1600
OH-PA 1500
NJ-OH 1500
OH-MI 700
$6800 on 2740 miles (including deadhead) Mon-FR.
It's brutal out there, spent like 3-4 hours each day to find something decent. Plenty of loads are moving for $2 per mile and they get booked fast. Heck even $2.5 per mile going to Northeast disappears quickly

 

Won't matter in that case. Polar bear is playing opossum and eats you.

 

Old Iron is the one that come's to my mind. I enjoyed his stories.
