Hate to say it but 99 percent of the country's population are brainwashed by the digital toilet. TV has them hypnotized. Under it's spell, they believe anything it tells them. As long as they think the illusion of choice between their chosen networks is real they swallow it whole. They don't call TV, "programming" for nothing. Those who control it also control the people.

Now many "experts" are screaming the mother of all recessions is about to take place.

Many of them have been saying that for nar 20 years though.

We haven't pulled a load in 5 weeks. So we've done our part to get these economy going back to the launch pad.

Well you will never see the signs of a looming recession in the Mainstream media. If you dig a little, major corporations are having massive layoffs, Fed Ex, which is a global company won’t meet their projected earnings, and will be laying off 1000s of people and closing locations. Hell even Amazon is closing warehouses and DCs all around the country. It’s coming, it’s definitely not rainbows and unicorns like uncle Joe likes to project.

Just did wheel seals and shoes on my truck's rear tandem axle and every single thing I needed to complete the repair cost a solid 30-50 percent more than just a year ago. Anyone not raising rates is crazy. I've ran two loads over the past 4 weeks for a regular broker who's customer requests me directly by name. If it wasn't for them, I wouldn't have hauled anything at all just like you. Better off riding it out until the market improves before running oneself into bankruptcy.

I went to the yard on Saturday at 3:00pm. Worked on the Truck all night, all day on Sunday till 11:00pm. 32 hrs. straight. No food just 1 coffee and 6 Powerades. Did the front brakes/seals. New fan clutch, Power Steering gear, hoses, filter, drag link, and added 2 shims to the right side king pin. Cleaned up yrs. worth of caked on grease. Mechanic had put a new spindle on about 6 or more yrs ago after another mechanic had over tightened my wheel bearing while replacing a seal and burned up the bearing/spindle. He didn’t shim the new spindle right. He also put the 2 wedge bolts in opposite of the original way. Top one was almost hitting the steering stop. A third mechanic said I needed new king pins/ bushings, that was over 5 yrs ago. I knew it was only the shims. I’ve been wanting to fix that for years. It was a PITA, everything was jammed up. Had to drop the king pin down and turn it a couple times to get the wedge bolts lined up. Finally got it right. Added 2 of the smallest shims, and it’s good as new. The top bushing still looks new. Same as original ones did. Drivers sides still original, no slop. I grease them at every oil change. Between 15-20k. Not every 5k like others claim is needed. Never jacked the wheels up. That’s a wives tale, at least on Freightliners it is. Meanwhile the house clothes dryer went out. Got a new one yesterday. Went to hook it up today, and the toilet malfunctions, replaced the valve. Then tank starts leaking. Rusty bolt broke, Lol. Doing a whole new kit and hose on it right now, had to take a break from the aggravation, back to work now.

You must have saved $3k worth of labor hours easily.
The funny thing is that I did some work on two toilets today too. Lol. I replaced flanges and the wax seals on both. I'd like to think it saved me at least $300 on a service call.

Well, the new bolts for the tank are too big. Never saw nothing like that before, nothings ever simple anymore seems. Ahhhh! Taking another break, big thunder boomers sitting out on the porch watching the light and sound show. Something tells me I’ll probably break the tank. I have a couple new ones. Wanted to keep them clean and dry till I remodel. Other bath is tore apart already.

I’m taking one day off, after I topped of fuel, the radiator decided to start leaking. Found out these newer emissions trucks have throw away radiators now.:mad:

Been that way for years. The series 60 in my FLD had what I would consider a throw away.
