Delivers Monday. Finally got loaded, 8 hrs after arriving. I’ve been here before, expected as much. Not many choices right now. Loads only paying 3.10 on 968 miles. I’ve done well a few times going in for $3.80-$4.00 pm. This week will end in Miami. $6300, on 2320 total miles. Average 2.72 on all miles. That average will drop, getting out. Surprisingly there’s quite a few loads, compared to normal, mostly within 100 miles of Miami. Many are literally $1.00 pm. Fuel cost. Looking for the shortest trip over $1.40 pm. Hopefully can keep my average above $2.40, and try to pump it back up. Based on recent overall averages of $2.60, I’m losing ground, at least once I get empty in Miami, it’s headed down. Might do one or more short trips in Florida. Sometimes that pays off, if it doesn’t waste too much time, at least helps keep the average up. Just have to play it by ear. Net revenue is all that matters. This week will be $4300, after $2000 in fuel cost. Not much, but pays the bills.
