Sorry to hear .. head gasket usually means full rebuild. The question is why did it blow the gasket..and the answer to that is usually very expensive

Lot of times it’s a sunk liner. But maybe it’s just a cracked head. Sucks that, that is the hopeful outcome

What would you offer a shipper with the one truck you have?
And I know shippers who didn't pay trucking companies.

Deere hunter and Rideandrepair Thank this.

Is that for me? I'm out of it so that ain't my problem any more but when I was in the game service and being true to my word was all I really had. Now I'm a company driver for the largest private employer in the world and they have one of the largest semi truck fleets in this country and one of the many backhauls I run comes from CH Robinson. Can you imagine that? The pull and sway they have with everything yet they book freight from brokers for their trucks? I suppose if they really wanted to they could backdoor that business and cut the middleman out. There's probably multiple reasons why they don't but I'd say at the very top of that list would be, it's just bad business.

You're telling him what to do.

I've heard your largest private employer doesn't really offer a health insurance anymore and the drivers are making like 30% less, because the last raise they've got was before the inflation really kicked off.

I was calling him out for backdooring customers. I had no health insurance for years before I had theirs. It's not perfect but it's a #### sight better than having none and we get raises every year.

Deere hunter, Oxbow and ElmerFudpucker Thank this.

Given the right opportunity, everybody is backdooring. Everybody's undercutting. CHR and TQLs do exactly the same, except they call it acquiring. Bad business is when you end up with no money to replace a blown motor. Again, the hard work is on the carrier's end. Carriers are undercutting each other too.

When Walmart moved in an area and kicked out ma and pa hardware and grocery stores, was that bad business too?
Customers wallets is what gave them the right.
Ethics is about your not cheating on what you get paid for. You pick up and deliver on time with no damage, no loss. Then you collect on what you agreed for. End of discussion about the topic as far as I am concerned.
