Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!

Even Walmart has to draw a line where cost and JIT freight service failures meet. Otherwise, they would ship everything by rail. I can’t see a bunch of Chicagoland 1099 companies providing the service that their own fleet does. Great for serving DC’s but not stores. IMO

Look for the 25 years I've been trucking there's been guys like you saying they would ditch the private fleet to save costs. And nothing they've done shows that to be the case in fact the opposite has happened. You don't understand their business like you think you do. Your vision for it, aint where this is leading to.

I understand. And it is a logical step. After hocking cheap junk in their store, why not hock cheap freight? They are the low price leader after all

 

Not me. Haven't given my money to any walmart in this country for 10 years and counting

 

Ok, cool! Nobody likes cheap stuff I get it. We'd all rather go to Peterbilt and pay $70 for a brake chamber instead of the cheaper $50 one from Fleetpride, yeah it's a winning strategy.

 

I rather give my money to a local independent or a small business. Will gladly pay more money to do so as well.. I try to avoid corporations because In my opinion they have destroyed this country in more ways than one

 

I couldn't work there. I couldn't sleep on another man's dirty mattress...
