I assume that Wally still has the 2 moving vans at each location for management relocations.

Your postings are BS too because just like us you don't have actual knowledge of what Wal-Mart's intentions are with this new move they've planned. Only time will tell who's guessing correctly about the move's true plans.

You're right I don't know where they're going with the brokerage thing. Cheap freight in the spot market? Race to the bottom? It's the spot market, that's nothing new. I take it on the surface for what it is. It's going to shake things up for sure. They've got money and they're just stepping into another business. They bought into an advertising business a year or so ago.

But for the 10th or 11th time I point to them currently expanding their private fleet both now and have been for several years. What about adding a couple of thousand more trucks and continuing to do it makes you or anyone else think they're going to get rid of the fleet?

None of you look to the obvious benefit that fleet gives them as leverage to help keep rates from spiraling too high either. Or how easily the costs of running can be offest. Service expectations that have never been met by contract carriers who aren't even close to the private fleet results there. It's another tool in the box they use to keep costs down. It's ingrained in what they do. They could get rid of it at the drop of a hat if they wanted to. Lots of evidence out there to the contrary though if you open your eyes.

I doubt Walmart is going to get rid of their fleet, it’s a hedge against rates. With that said, if they have excess they will dump it into spot market but if spot market has high rates, they can’t.

so why would Walmart get rid of their fleet?

that’s how I look at it.
