You might want to get a quart of quality single stage paint mixed up. Paint shop will get the colour bang on and the finish will be more durable and harden much faster than anything off the shelf. Yes its more expensive but its only money,,can't take it with you.

I think so. I get it from princess or a local napa/car quest. Ask for catapillar yellow and they should know.

That looks really good SAR. My motor's not an oily mess but it could use a good paint job. The new water pump was never painted and rusted up. When they overhaul them they normally spray them but what I saw of some they did just looked like a sloppy mess with overspray everywhere so I told them not to paint mine. I'll spend all day pulling stuff off and masking everything before I paint it. Take the valve covers off and paint them gloss black. My radiator and CAC could use some gloss black too. They were brand new back when it was inframed but sure don't look it anymore. I'll do the frame rails and suspension too.

My truck isn't nice enough for that kind of trouble. Rattle can paint will do just fine.

    Oxbow and SAR Thank this.

20180414_120457.jpg 20180414_120141.jpg This is what I use. It is a hair darker than cat but holds up real well from the heat. NAPA carries it. My engine hasn't been washed in bout a year and. It was painted bout three years ago when I rebuilt it. Paint holding up well.

I just picked up four cans from Cat yesterday. $10.42 per can.

Probably about twice what you would have to pay for Krylon, but I'm not using very much.
