Problem is, healthy stuff don't sell. Big chains tried fitness rooms, they didn't make money. few years ago i was buying fruit cups and side salads, again didn't make money. you well see Apples Bananas and oranges at fuel desk but that's it. Other stuff didn't make money. Greasy fried junk does. The problem is not the Truckstop, it's the customer. Look at videos from the 40's, 50's or 60's... not that many fat people. Now look around, you see fat young people, pudgy little kids...... All from choice

    Rocks Thanks this.

Yeah they only recommend doing the juice only for the first 2 months. I've seen the movie and 80 lbs in 2 months sounds good.

You are right. Problem is the diet culture in this country. Folks here are used to and want fried, greasy meet and lots of sugar. I came from a tropical country where folks eat more natural food, fruits, juices... and I miss that a lot. Every little snack bar in that country can serve a big variety of juices with water or milk prepared fresh right on the counter... it's cheap and delicious. But here.... it wouldn't sell.. :biggrin_25512:

Funny thing is Rocks, that it's somewhat easy to sell someone on a diet of processed, calorie dense foods that came from a diet of natural foods. But really difficult to get someone used to natural foods that is used to processed, fried or high fat foods is very difficult. It's easier to get someone to commit to gastric bypass surgery than getting them to commit to a healthy diet....:biggrin_25521: Go figure

You know Cuzzin it, white sugar is addictive, fat meat and fried food is addictive... Then, the amount and variety of processed, premade industrialized food in this country is unbelievable! :biggrin_2555: A supermarket in the country where I came from is less than 1/4 of the size of one in the US. What they sell there is more basic food, produce, fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, poultry and raw material for cooking like flour, etc. But folks here got used to junk food not only for the addictive taste but also because it's so easy to prepare and convenient... ie.: tv dinners, snacks, drive thrus... And the amount of food commercials here... OMG!! I have also noticed how Americans use sugar in almost everything they eat... Most of every can food and industrialized food I find at suppermarkets has sugar in it. Even salty meals have sugar or syrup or something sweet in it.... It can be at a restaurant or anywhere... Folks here are REALLY addicted to sugar... and fat... :biggrin_2552:

Everything a body needs is found on vegetables and fruit.

Too bad they don't have a juice bar at all the Subways since there are plenty of them.

They would have to Pasteurize it, which kills most of the nutrients. So your better off just getting the Fruit cups at Loves, or Walmart or the Odwalla Juices
