Company driver paid on percentage. It is a small 50 truck fleet out of Wisconsin. We specialize in almost all oversize/high value freight. I am the senior driver out of a terminal that has almost all oversize loads.

Week 26 paycheck shows a year total of $20,550.

Company driver for KLLM. The miles have been light and heavy. I am regional so that means more stops, less miles, so they pay us a dime more than OTR per mile.

Thanks for the reply. That sounds like a realy good job you've got. It should give some guys something to think about in regards to what direction to take a career in trucking to make good money. Dont suppose you could get me a job there ?

    Swift. First year $39,983.

But I don't let moss grow on my tires. Never have. I didn't take much home time out of choice, but I got home when I needed to.

Otr till mid march, making %

Dedicated since, getting $850 salary or $75 a load + .34cpm loaded n empty, which ever is greater at the end of the week.

At around $43k right now, so probally $50-52k this year.

Keep in mind i lucked into this dedicated run. Run short loads, 5-250 miles a load. Also its around NYC so i go there every few weeks.

Sorry, we dont hire Canadians or the Irish:biggrin_2559:. It was a tough job to get. I had only driven local for the last 15 years and hadnt driven a tractor trailer in the last 11 years. I filled out an application online, which when I called to inquire about they told me they hadnt recieved it so I had them mail me one which I filled out and drove 4 hours one way to hand deliver. I honestly believe that is how I got the job, because they knew I was serious about wanting to work for them. When they called to offer me my spot in orientation they said "You do not have the tractor/trailer experience we require, but we want to give you a chance anyway. It will be sink or swim". That was three and a half years ago. In that time I clawed my way from "The last guy hired" to the top of the heap, hauling taller longer and wider loads then guys who have been here almost 20 years.

    NDBADLANDS Thanks this.
