Real Time Trip Planning. Roll with Dino and others.

Called plant and load is ready so will head on over. Only will have about 6 hours available for today. Denver traffic kicked my butt yesterday. Also have to make a correction will be losing only 8 hours tonight, and then 13 hours Sunday night. So I'll still make it. Anyway hope you folks have a great weekend we will probably be back in 6 hours or so.

 

Real Time update. Stopped in Lamar, CO. Had 1 hour left to drive but there is an accident just south of town. I believe the wind has blown over a truck. There's been wind warning's all day. I have a trailer with side skirts and the tail on the back end. I been having a blast keeping her in the lane. Anyway should take an 8hour break which will put me at 11pm mountain time, and I'll be able to run the rest of my 11 since I'll be gaining hours at midnight. You folks be cool on your stool. Taking the rest of my 2 hour back. Only have 4 hours left on the 70. Will see how far I get before I shut down. Think I still have over 475 miles to go. Will be using the recap after midnight to make it to receiver by 6 am. Well it's nap time so I'll be back in Real time. Cya

 

I'm parked with 51 minutes left on my 70. I'm going to leave here at 11:10pm mountain time which will be 12:10am cst. I have 280 or so miles to destination. So It will be cutting it pretty close. Hoping to be there about 5:30am. The receiver has a place to park, but by the time I get there I may be able to check in. 1st time there so not sure how it works. Not much coming off at the first stop so should be out of there within an hour. Then head on over to Houston for 2nd drop. Might even try to get it off tmrw. Only time will tell and this is one reason I don't like running on recap hours because I have to wait till midnight of my companies time zone to get moving again. Really didn't need a 34 since I'm going home so it works itself out. Have a good day and stay safe.

 

Just touched down in Buda, TX 4:55am. About to go check in plenty of parking in the common carrier lot, but will have to some what blind side back. Anyway we back quiet till next update.

 

Well made it to last stop. They won't take until tomorrow. So will call up the x and see if she won't bring my girls over to see me since I'm in town. Also had 6 cases rejected because of blood at first stop. So after this stop will be taking the 6 cases to another place who bought them. Then hopefully heading in the direction of home. Each driver either solo or team can only run 70 hours. That is drive time and on duty not driving time. You can't drive any more that week once you reached your 70 hours until you take a 34 hr restart or Hours from previous week start coming off. I Have ran team and we ran out of hours and had to take a break because we reached the 70 hr limit. Now I haven't ran team since the new hours of service with the 34 hr restart and 11 hr driving but it's still the same.

More then likely unless you are running coast to coast hot loads you won't be using up your 11 each day because you are picking up and delivering loads. Now if you just had those type of loads you could do 11drive/10break until you are about to hit your 70. You can probably do that in 5 days but you will have to take a 34 restart to begin to do it again. Same with teams. Now some teams might have a driver not take his turn driving so he can do his 34 hr restart but the fib that teams can keep going and going is not true.
