Opps forgot about REAL Time. Well got unloaded and went to place that was taking rejected cases. They also rejected the cases so now its sit and wait. But I've been sitting for over an hour now and about to call and see what the plans are about getting me home. I know more the likely I'll be dumping these cases in a trash bin. Well more later IN REAL TIME.

After waiting all day. Was told to throw cases in trash, and I have been pre planned for a load picking up in Waco TX Mt miles is 185 and Going to Oklahoma City paid miles 287. Pick up tmrw at 11am and delivers Thursday morning first drop is 2am and 2nd drop 7 am. First drop is only a few miles from my house So I should be home by 5pm or so and then deliver those stops the next morning. Since I have to work Thursday. I think I'll push my time out time to Sunday. We will see how that works out. Also since I'm in Houston and its between the hours of 3pm and 7pm I'll finish my 8 hour break and then go get the trailer washed out and head on over to Waco. I have 7hours I can drive which is plenty of time to get to Waco. Just don't want to deal with traffic and the parking in Waco is not all that great. Will check and see if there is parking at shipper. A very unproductive day. But its trucking. Get use to it. Have a good day folks. Until Next time its Real Time.

Made it to Waco. They won't allow me to check in till 9am. I got a late start. Almost didn't feel like leaving till 4 or 5 in the morning, but I knew I had to get trailer washed out and not sure how much wait time this place takes. So I headed over to the truck wash about 9pm. If things work out like I plan. They should have me loaded right around the 8 hour of sleeper birth time and I'll be able to head on to OKC with plenty of time to have my second break so I can make 2 am appointment. Anyway time to watch that movie that's playing on the back of my eye lids. God bless

Real Time up date. Well kinda sorta. Got to okc about 5pm yesterday. Passed up fuel stop so that I would make my 2am apt on time. Got to receiver at 1:45am was out of there by 3:15. Went to fuel up and then over to my second stop which had a place to park across the street last time I was there. Well it doesn't belong to them so I had to find a place close by. Then after I parked I realized I had my wife's car keys in my jacket. So I went back by the house to drop the keys off and got back to 2nd stop at 5am. I was going to go back to the place I parked earlier and just check in an Hour before my apt time. But decided to swing by. I seen trucks going in so I went in as well. Had a 7.30am apt. Checked in at 5:30 was out of there by 6:15 and was getting truck wash and trailer washout by 6:30 and back home at 7:15. I love days like this.

Well I started this thread when I came off home time 3 weeks ago. Not sure of all the miles I ran but I pretty much Cris crossed the map. NJ, Sacramento, LA, Atlanta, and a few stops in between. Well hope I have the energy to continue to show you what's goes on in my mind when getting loads so you can be prepared to do the same. Anyway Have a great weekend and hopefully if the Lord will's I'll be back at it Sunday. Deuces

Sounds like you are doing pretty well out there. Keep up the good work!

Just a little side note, kind of goes hand in hand with trip planning. I always keep a little black notebook in which I write down exactly what I do all day. I write down my mileage, where I am and what time it is. When I leave I also write down my departure time. Every single time I stop, even for a pee break, I write it down in my book. Then at the end of the day if I have to fix my logs or get a little creative, I have a good record of what I did and the times I did it. It really helps when you are exhausted at the end of the day and have to figure out your logs. A lot of times you will have to back up your logs or buy yourself some time and this is a great way to help do that. I also keep track of crossing state lines and tolls and such. Just make sure to not keep it laying out in the open. You don't necessarily want a DOT officer to find it.

Another really big advantage of having this notebook is for like repeat trips or similar trips. When you have to do your trip plan and have done a similar run or are going somewhere close to where you have previously been, you will have the miles and times and know exactly where you stand. Once again it takes out a lot of unnecessary thinking and makes things a little easier.

Real time update. Just got a call from dispatch that I have a load picking up in Sunnyvale, TX and Pittsburg, Tx Monday morning going to Denver and Loveland, Co for Wednesday. Not sure of the paid miles. About to go hop on the bike and run to the truck stop to accept load. Not going to be a pretty week but that can be expected when you take 4 days off.

Real Time update. About to hit the road and head to first pick up in Sunnyvale, TX. Is a drop and hook was suppose to be picked up at 00:30 am this morning, and second pick up is for 19:30. So I left later so I don't have to sit so long for second pick up which is a live load. Hopefully they will load me as soon as I get to Pittsburg, TX but we will just see how that works out. Anyway time to get my roll on. We back quiet.
