Thanks Compi. Just got word that Omaha load is ready. Not many hours left today but I think I will try to hurry to receiver and see if I can't get a 34 restart not sure yet. Still have lots of hours 46 remaining right now but when you have an opportunity you use it. Back quiet.

Real Time Update give or take a few hours. Got to second stop. Was unloaded in about 10 mins. Only had 4 pallets. Went to pick up load from plant after a washout and they said the load was in our yard. Was trying to avoid the yard because I didn't want to have to get truck serviced/ran through the inspection lane thingy. Got to yard guard told me I didn't have to go through the service ordeal so. Transfloed paper work. Picked up load and went to scale at truck stop. When I finally parked I had 9mins left on my 14hr clock and I did the math and looked at receiver and don't look like I'll be able to get a 34 in. Was debating on doing an 8 hour break. Wait I think I might can make it work. Still have 3 hours left but maybe more after the 8 hour break. Will see. Parking at receiver seems to be slim to none. But I do see a dock I'm sure won't be in use tomorrow that I can probably hang out in. At another business. The street didn't have street view so I just looked at the satellite view. Anyway you guys who can get home enjoy your time with the fam and for those who are out truckin. Be safe and have fun. God bless.

Happy Thanksgiving to you! Your hardcore man, out there on the holidays! You're a real hustler! You should do just fine making money in this game, sounds as if you have a pretty good handle on it.

Be extra careful out there, these are some of the worst days to be on the road. No one is paying attention, they all have turkey on the brain! Then there's the drunks too so be very careful!

Take care man, be safe out there...

Pulled her in to the J in Gretna, NE for the night. Think I'm less then 15 minutes from receiver. Will set the clock for 5 am and head on over. Then go pick up load in Grand Island that delivers in West Chicago Saturday Afternoon. Been to that receiver a few times, and they don't take loads early for the most part. Still will see if I can't make some lemonade out of the lemons. Going to enjoy a shower and give my left arm a rest from playing in all the wind today. G day and nite folks.

Real Time update. Sitting in front of doc so they can break the seal for my 6am apointment. Glad I didn't come earlier. This street didn't have much room to park on. Didn't know I would have to utilize my backing skills this early in the morning. Guard said that it was tight back there and probably should back in off the street. So that was fun along with the 1/4 to Half a mile of straight backing. Just another day at the office for a meat hauler. C ya at the next update and have a great day.

Real Time Update. Oh where to begin.. Ok took 2 hours to get out of 1st stop. About an hour before they came to cut off seal. 10 to 20 mins to take off the 21 pallets. Then the rest of time till they decided to give me paper work. But it's all good not sure what all they had to do to receive the product.

Then I go pick up load in Grand Island. Hooked and booked out of there. Got my next pp b4 I Picked up load. So here goes.

Loaded 669 miles MT miles 182.
    Picks up in Plainwell,MI 11/25/12 00:30
    Have 3 stops in Philadelphia 11/26/12 7:30, 11/26/12/10:00, 11/26/12 1300

Wasn't even sure I had the hours just accepted the load. Then I get another Preplan for after that Delivery.

    Loaded 301 Mt 35
Picks up Souderton,Pa 11/24/12 8am (think somebody dropped it because they are scared of nyc or had too much time on it)
    Delivers 11/27/12 8am Ridgewood,NY(queens)
    2nd stop 11/28/12 6am Tauton,MA
I will be low on hours anyway so not complaining about load. Plus I get 150 dollar NYC pay. I hate going to receiver in Queens because the docks are crazy and super tight. Plus very limited parking. Will have to decide later how I'm going to do load since. I'm sure my hours will be low and don't have lots of time to sit in NYC traffic. Would like to get there early enough at night to make sure I have a place to park. But will deal with that senario after I get the Philly stops off. Don't remember off hand if I have been to any of the places in Philly. Not one of my favorite places due to all the low bridges. But a trucker has to do what a trucker has to do. Anyway I'm about to look at these places on google maps and see what I will have to deal with Monday. You guys and gals be cool on your stool. We back quiet.

Wow didn't think it took 3 hours but I finally got a feel for my route that I'll take to those stops in Philly. I been to 1 place but I haven't been to the others. Think I may be able to avoid some low bridges but will call and see If I can't take a short cut. The funny thing is they are all close together but to get to the last stop I may put on a few extra miles. Since I'm not familiar with that area. Then to get the Souderton is going to be another headache. Philly is no fun :( Anyway time for some Z's so we can knock out this West Chicago load out tmrw. Back quiet.

Does your company route you around the low bridges ? or do you have to figure it out on your own ?

You have to figure it out on your own. There routing is decent on highways but you can't depend on them in the city. I don't even think the routing takes you to the address. Just to city. So you have to be on your P's and Q's. I looked at first stop on Google maps and there's a 12'1 or 13'1 bridge just south of it. So I knew I wouldn't be coming in from that way. But I am familiar with the first 2 stops. Just not all that familiar with the last stop. My Gps is a truck gps but it still flips out sometime. The good thing is most of the businesses know how to route trucks so even though the bridge might say 12'4 it probably 13'6 they just don't change the signs. But you always have to be cautious when approaching. Still have to Cover your own butt because if you hit a bridge its your fault no matter who gave you directions.
