Anyways They are loading me and I should be out of here in no time. Should have about 5 hours and some change to roll. Might spend a lot of that time trying to get in and out of that pilot. But Oh well another day at the office. We back quiet.

Well it's 5 minute before 1900. Was loaded at receiver at about 1500. Put in about 4 hours and couldn't pass up a truck stop with the Golden Arches. So Think I'm going to call it a night hear in Williamsville, IL at the Loves. I still had 2 more hours to drive but I don't like pushing it to the max if I'll need to stop near a major city. That major city is St Louis. Being the weekend its sometimes easier to find parking but I'm in no hurry, and really not familiar with the trucks stops near the STL. So I parked here. Debating on if I should take an 8 hour break or the full 10. Still have 4hr and 50 minutes of drive time available. Guess I'll see how I feel about 3 in the morning. Also was preplanned for my next load will give you those details on next post or 2. Wanted to show you something 1st.

What made me check out this route was when I put the address in GPS. It was showing 700 plus miles. So I went to check on Google maps and when I seen the route that I was getting paid for. I remembered it was one of those highways I went down and swore I'd never take that route again. Lots of 25 mph turns, narrow roads, etc. My load is pretty light around 26,000 gross. Didn't even scale it. Its loaded all the way to the back of my 53 ft trailer and its some double stacking so I know its a top heavy. Still kind of debated if I was going to take this route or not. Even though my companies routing is saying take the 700 mile route down 540. As you will see the miles are longer but the amount of time is not that much. Actually if google maps did truck timing it probably would be even longer then what's on there. But just in case you haven't did the route on your own here are a few pictures and for the newbies when you see the highway we a whole bunch of curves. You might want to see about taking an alternate route if there is one. Arkansas is one of those states along with West Virginia and Pennsylvania you don't want to take the back roads to bypass a scale or take the short cut, because you will be in for one heck of a drive. Here goes some snap shots. My phone takes crappy pictures but you can check for yourself if you put in Romeoville,Illinois to Clarksville,AR on your directions, and if you have a lap top. Check out some of those curves on street view if its available. Starting to have flash backs now.

Oh ya Here is PrePlan for next load.

Load miles 439 Mt Miles 181

PU Forrest City, AR 12/03/12 1500
Deliver Fort Worth, TX 12/04/12 5am

This is one of our main customers so you get stuck on some of these short loads and with my little hours I can't complain much.

One guy who switched loads with me delivered to this same Wal-mart I'll be delivering too Sunday. They actually let him in a day early so they might let me in as well. If they do. Will be able to do a 34 reset before I pick up this next load and even if they don't still might be able to do a reset. I'll have about 2200 miles for the week when I deliver in Ft. Worth. Hoping for a short run that is 500 or so miles that delivers Wednesday that will put me over 2500 miles for the week. I'm thinking though I'll get something longer that will deliver Thursday or Friday which will only leave me with 2200 for the week. Not bad but not great either. Still not bad considering I ran the whole week on recap hours. Anyway if I'm going to get up at 3am. I better get some z's. Yall be good now ya hear :)

Well did the 8 hour split break. Had 6hours and some change to drive. Wouldn't be able to make it to the J on 71 so I stopped just west of Springfield at the Hoods truck stop. Not sure of the city name. Will take 2 hours break and finish this trip up. Have a great day.

What a ride , I map-quested your route -- 55 to 44( around ST Louis ) then 65 ( around Springfield ) 622.21 shortest rout , 638.5 fastest ,and then thru part of the OZARK were it looks like a broken snakes back.

    Dinomite Thanks this.

Yep I'll be going down 71 to 540. Not even in the mood to play with highway 21 today.
