Well Made it to Wal-mart. Or outside walmart to the truckstop across the street. Not even going to try to check in because if they do accept it a few hours later I'll be out of hours so will wait till tomorrow. This will be my last update on Real Time for awhile. Hope to be back sometime next year. Need to get back to my study in the Good word. So we will see what happens in the future.
scottied67 Thanks this. -
Well the split break is pretty easy but trying to understand the 14hr clock is the hard part and I couldn't do it right without the E log doing the time for me.
But hears the explanation without using the 14 hr clock situation.
If I drive 5 hours and then get to a customer or take a nap. After the 3 hour window of the 14 hour. My time starts ticking away. So after the first hour after the 3 hour I have 5 hours left, then the next hour 4 hours left and so on. Now if I stay in the sleeper for 8 hours. I'll be able to drive my 6 hours. At the end of my driving my 6th hour. I need to take a 2 hour break to finish up the 10 hour break. So after the two hour break. I have 5 hours to drive. Then after that I have to take an 8 hour break or the full 10 hour break if I want to drive the full 11, but If where I'm going I can get too in less the 5 hours I'll go ahead and take the 8 hour break.
Now the clock is harder to understand and maybe someone else can help you with how much time you will have but it usually isn't much more then an hour or so more then u have to drive. I just stopped 20 mins ago and in about 6 minutes the 14 hour clock will be eating away at the 1hr and 56 mins I have remaining.
The reason I decided to do the slit break so early instead of take the full 10 is because Early mornings between 3am-8am I sometimes get tired and need to sleep. No matter how much sleep I've got. So having the hours available in that time would give me the 2 hour power nap I needed to be awake and it wouldn't mess up the time I wanted to arrive at the shipper or receiver.
If I would of took a 10 hour break then needed to take a power nap of 2 hours I would of got to my destination 2 hours later then I wanted. Some companies don't even want you to do split breaks. So all depends. Anyway I'm off of here. You guys be good and If I don't come back on before the New Year you guys have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.EggoTrucker Thanks this. -

-
No that's not my truck number.
I think there are 8 plants and they do give you a list of them and procedure to check in and out. Then there's a bunch of Pilgrims plants, but I think we only pull out of a few on a regular basis.
Here's some what I have done the Rest of the week.
Load miles 274 MT miles 125
Pick up in Iowa Park 12/04/12 11:00
Deliver Cactus, TX 12/04/12 17:00-12/5/12 0500
Got unloaded early from Ft. Worth headed to Iowa Park at about 6am. Had a little Cow town traffic. Fueled in Wichita Fall's TX. Trailer washout in Wichita falls, TX then headed 10 to 15 miles to Iowa Park. Was put in a door when I got there but they took 4 hours to load. So I ran out of hours and I did my 10 hr break there.
My load that Picked up in Forest Park took all night to load. Didn't get out of there till 2100 so ran that load straight to Ft. Worth which was about 8hours. Then ran to Iowa Park and the 14 hour clock ate up my time there.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Got to Cactus about 2100 yesterday. MY load was ready so I picked that up but needed an A service done so waited until this morning because shop opened at 8. Got done right around time my 10 hour break was up so was ready to roll.
Here's current load I'm on
Load miles 434 MT miles 0
Picked up in Cactus TX 12/5/12 10:00
Deliver Sunnyvale,TX 12/6/0130
I got here at Receiver at 20:45 Don't think they will unload me till apt. SO the Iowa park load was the last load for the pay week think I ended up with 2695 miles for the week.
Also Pre planned after this load here goes.
Load miles 1712 MT miles 24
Pick up Farmers Branch 12/06/12 1600
Deliver Sacramento, Ca 12/10/12 0500
I like this load because the place I'm going in Sacramento is the same place we normally load out of. Took a load out of there to LA if you guys remember. Have taken loads out of there to Albuquerque. One guy the other day I met delivered in FT Worth. So Hoping to get a decent load out of there and maybe I can get a 34 reset if I get there quick enough. Also was able to get a 34 reset at that walmart the other day so I have 42 hours left on the 70.
Well don't know how to change name, but trying to do things in Real Time. Kicks my butt. So that I don't get burned out and over look things I should be doing will probably only give updates every couple of days or so. Anyway thank you for Rolling with Dino. Until next time. We back quiet.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Thanks for posting again man!!!
Dinomite Thanks this. -
Well the appointment I had for 1:30 this morning. I got out of there at about 12pm. I think it is some new deal because a lumper has to come out and unload it, and the lady when I checked in was calling around to see if the lumper came out that early. Didn't bother charging for detention since my next load wasn't going to pick up later anyway.
Went to get a trailer washout from over by the J in South Dallas and then headed over here to Farmers Branch. They just started loading me a few minutes ago. Its 1600 now so will know next time they don't get in a hurry to get you out of here. I been here a little over 2 hours and my 14 hour clock will be eating away at my remaining time. Hope to be out of here within 30 minutes. They seem to load pretty fast. Was hoping to get out of here b4 Dallas area traffic got too bad. Going to try a way to get out of here I haven't tried before so hopefully will make up for some time. Anyway hope you all are having a blessed day. We are back quiet until next time. God blessscottied67 Thanks this.
