With 20 Minutes left on the clock. I took the exit for a West Memphis, AR truck stop. Pulled into the J and found a nice spot. Don't believe the dry box, and the tanker driver likes it. This reefer is a bit loud. Hopefully they are heavy sleepers and I won't wake up with slashed tires. Was hoping to put in at least 600 miles for the day but it just didn't work itself out that way. Ended up with 597 miles. Still have 800 to go. Maybe I'll get 600 plus tomorrow. Well that's all folks for now. G night and a blessed day in the morning.

Bad trip planning kicked my butt today. The lady called my name and sounded the sirens. Dino has violated hours of service. Only went over by a minute but could of been a lot worse. Did a lot of assuming and it didn't work out. Normally I double check, but oh well. Can't win them all. Didn't end up where I wanted to stop, but its a nice spot about to see what kind of goodies they have in here. Did get 660 miles in for the day though. Well you guys be good and remember don't assume. Or you may be up a creek without a paddle. Have a good night.

Decided not to start my 14 hour clock until 1500. Didn't see much parking by receiver on google maps. Was hoping they would let me in an hour early. Got here about 17:45 and told me to come back at 18:30. So went to a hotel parking lot that was next to a gas station that had 2 other trucks I guess waiting for 18:30. Then right when I was about to leave here come the hotel guy saying I have to pay to park there. Was only 2 dollars but I normally don't even carry cash. Did find 2 dollars in quarters to give to him. He gave me a receipt so. I'll get my hard earned cash back. The line at 18:30 was so long to get in. They had drivers doing u turns because they were blocking business entrance and exits. I'm still getting unloaded think they are about finished. Going to go 45 miles south of here to get trailer washed out. I picked up just south of there the last time I was in this area. I'll know next time this place takes all day to unload. So I'll bring a snack. Glad I didn't leave earlier I probably wouldn't have any hours to get out of this town. Not pre-planned yet. Hopefully will pick up something tomorrow. Good night/morning whenever you happen to be reading this. God bless

My gamble didn't pay off this time. Next load picks up in Virginia. Still needed the trailer wash so not sure if I would pass one yet on way to next stop. Here goes Pre plan.
Load Miles 295
MT miles 117
PU Smithfield,VA 2/20/13 14:00
Deliver Vineland,NJ 2/21/13 08:00
Better go pick this up. You guys have a good one.scottied67 Thanks this. -
Dinomite, only one flaw in your day to day operation.....not carrying cash on you will come back to bite you like the time i needed a trailer washout and they only take cash or many other situations. I always leave home with $100.00 cash on me just in case.
Dinomite Thanks this. -
Made it to Shipper and put right in a door. The guard was saying how some trucks have been here for 9 hours. This load I guess was suppose to leave yesterday. I guess they couldn't find nobody to haul it. So they put it in one of their trailers and now they will off load it and put it into my trailer. Kinda strange hauling the competitions product, but whatever keeps me rolling.. Also was pre planned on next load after this one. So here Goes.
Load miles 883
MT miles 18
Pick up Bridgeton,NJ 02/21/13 1400
Deliver Sterling,IL 02/23/13 14:30 Wal-Mart
Yes I should keep more cash on me. When I do. I normally end up giving it to the pan handlers so it never last long anyway. There's a lot of pink in the weather map for Friday so that doesn't look good. Hopefully the weather man is wrong on this one. 18hour and 57 minutes left on the 70. Will lose some hours on Friday. So I should be ok to make on time delivery. Just hope the weather doesn't slow me down to much. Well time to get off here. Yall be good now ya hear.scottied67 and rachi Thank this. -
Got here last night. 10 hour break is now up. I have to go 30-40 miles up the road to get a trailer washout due to blood in the trailer. Then come right back 30 to 40 miles to pick up. Those silk milk folks are picky about clean trailers. Really hate to do that especially with low hours already. Company has me taking back roads up to 80. Still debating on if I'll take them or not. 12 hours and I'll say 15 minutes left on the 70. Losing 8hours and 40 minutes Friday at midnight mountain time(Saturday). May even be able to get a 34 hr restart if I play my cards right b4 delivery. So time to head to the truck wash. Hope there are not 2 many folks in line. Is a nice day so you never know. I know the White Wave in Jacksonville Florida is picky about showing up early. I guess mostly because there is limited room. Haven't been to this one yet. Guess we will see how things go in a few. Have a good day and stay safe.

Didn't hear my 1 hour to go beep. Thankful I decided to check to see how much time I had b4 I passed the service plaza. Had a little over 30 minutes left, but was 40 miles to the next service plaza. So we parked it for the night. But may be for tomorrow night as well. I went ahead and took some back roads. Just because I didn't feel like dealing with Philly traffic. Driving on back roads most of the day that are 40 and 50mph speed limit didn't get me as far as I hoped. Wanted to see if I could possible do a 34hr restart, but it would make me late. So I'll probably head out early Saturday if the weather is not too bad. Ran pretty good to be coming off home time. Sure beats that first week I had after last home time. I have a few 11 hour days coming off as well. So shouldn't be hurting for time unless I get stuck doing a lot of back roads again. Here goes a snap shot of my week. Time to watch the movie on the back of my eye lids.
Missing is 2/15/13 431 miles 7 hr 45min driving 8hr 40min Total time. These the miles/time I'll be losing at midnight(Friday). So Should be able to make my 14:00 apt in Sterling Il on 23rd. I'm 429 miles away.kirk and scottied67 Thank this. -
Was given a load earlier had tons of drops and some of the appointment times were crazy. So I accepted it anyway. Get back to the truck and there's and updated pre plan with another drop so here goes the pre plan. Looks like this week will only be 2000 miles but with all the drops it should make up for the mileage. Plus I will be low on hours. So can't complain too much. I'll be just 2 hours short of having a 34 restart in the morning. Debated on what time to leave. I really don't like driving a long distance without having some wiggle room for breakdowns and such. If I leave earlier I'll run out of hours at the distribution and they don't let you take a break. So thinking about leaving here at 7am est which will be 6 cst. It should be a 7 hour drive and appointment is for 14:30 and they normally let you in an hour early so thinking I'll head right over to the line I'm sure some truck will be in front of me so getting there 1hr 30 minutes they might not turn me around, but we will see.
