Unloaded at 6:43 EST its about to be 5 am mountain time in a few minutes. There's a little blood in the trailer and a trailer washout place about 10 miles away. I'm going to wait here on the side of the road for a few more hours. Still not pre planned. They normally don't get in. Till 8am mountain time. So I don't want to start my 14 hour clock yet.

The blood is not that bad I probably can clean it up with some paper towels and water. Its just depends on how much time I will need to get to my next pick up. Also the place I'm going is a tank wash, but I believe I been there before and they wash out reefer trailers as well. Will call in a few minutes to check. Going back to bed hopefully they will get me rolling pretty soon. Not looking to get anything till 10 to 12 mountain time. Which will be 12 to 1400 est.

Good news. Got a Pre Plan for a MT move to Marshalltown, IA. So I don't have to pick up a load and they have a washout there. So will have great fuel mileage, and will be blowing the doors off these large cars going up hills. 1,061 empty gotta love working for the shipper.

Sometimes these are not fun especially when its ice and snow. Haven't checked weather but I'm sure i'll be alright. Have a blessed day folks.

Went to do my preplanned for Friday yesterday.

When I did my verbal confirmation with the broker, I confirmed the final destination was Warsaw MN. We set the load time as 11 am and the unload time as 9 pm same day. From Duluth MN, that's an easy drive.

When I got the written confirmation, imagine my surprise when it was actually Warsaw Indiana.

I called the broker on the switch too.

Keep ALL records including load board listing as proof for what you booked. They can come in handy.

I don't have that load anymore.

Sitting hear at the Pork plant in Marshalltown Iowa. It was a pretty good day except for the wind trying to blow my empty wagon over. I think its winter time. Got here just as I thought at 1700 and will be taking a 34 hour reset. Only have 7hrs left on the 70 and won't gain no hours till Sunday at 0001. So with a 34 hour restart I can have a full 70 hours by 3am Saturday.

My dispatcher sent a message about she didn't have a load for me today and I wouldn't have any hours till sunday. Had to reply back real quick that I will have hours Saturday morning. So hopefully she can get me something decent to pick up. Here's a look at hours and miles and a little recap of the summary of hours. Until next time. Its Real Time.

Its Real Time Trip planning with your host. Dino.

I'm also doing this to show you how much wasted time you will be spending. So it won't be a surprise to you. So look at the times of my post. This is why I call it REAL TIME. Here goes folks.

I got a pp. I got one earlier that was picking up exactly at my PTA of 3am time, but was cancelled because they moved to pick up time to the next day, and it was only a 278mile trip.

This one is not to much better but I'm just showing you how even though you put a PTA its pretty much anytime after that you are expected to get a load. So here goes

Image43.jpg Loaded miles that I'm getting paid for is 635. So right off the bat that tells me I can be there in 11 hours. Haven't checked actual miles to the place though.

This doesn't pick up until Sat at 9pm or 2100. Again I been sitting here from my last post for 21 hours. Now here's the thing. I haven't went to check in for this load. So it may already be ready. If it is. I'm going to run some numbers and see if I run with it now. I can take the 34 hour restart down the road since I still have 7 hours available to drive. My dispatcher already messaged me that she would add a day of layover since the miles are short over the weekend. She does not have to do that. But that shows you the difference of those who care and those who don't. So even if I pick this up today if its ready. I will get the layover. But again. It might not be ready till Sunday morning. I'm just letting the newbies know what should be going through your mind instead of complaining about a short load. You should be thinking how you can make it work for you. So going to go check in. If its not ready I won't post back till it is. Until next time its REAL TIME!!

Just check in and load is not ready. Gave them my number and they will call when it is. I also seen I have been offduty for 24 hours instead of 21 so another 10 hours i'll have my restart.

I checked trusty google maps and its actually 700 miles the way i'm routed. Its closest seem to be 671 and if I take the toll road its 705. So that cuts out being there in 11 hours. So that about a 22 hour trip with break included.

Also the place is in the middle of nowhere. I'll have to call to see if they allow drivers to come early because I didn't see anywhere I could park outside of the plant. Also may have to stop to bring a bite to eat because didn't see anything in walking distance.

The shortest route is lots and lots of back roads and some places like ohio the back road speed limit is only 55. So you try to limit as much of that if you can. I'll have to get on back roads to get to the place but my 700 mile route has me taking 95% interstate.

    Real Time!!

It's Real Time or a few hours give or take but I was notified that my 2100 apt load is read about an hour or so ago. I was reading and had to finish up. So I'll go pick up load and hope the weight is right. Last time I picked up from here it was 900 over gross. That's 80,900. So I'm off to see the wizard the wonderful wizard of oz. We will see you Mo Later on Real Time!!!!

G day folks or night. We have pulled the brakes for the night. Still one hour on the clock. Stopped in Hebron OH. Just 100 miles away from the receiver. Will give them a call in the am and see if I can park up there early if so. I'll head that way if not I won't leave here till maybe 2am est to get there for my 5am apt. Time to get some of the slaughter house funk off. Hit the hot showers and get a bite to eat. You folks have a good night and may the Good Lord bless you with another. We back quiet on this end my ttr friend.

P.S You ever notice you can pass a hundred truck stops and rest area's with parking then you pull into the place you want to park at and its full. Good thing is there was 1 lil ol spot left between this reefer and a dry box. Hope this carrier unit don't keep anybody up. :biggrin_25515:
