Well called receiver to tell them I'd be late and to ask what time they stop receiving. They said 5:30 and my ETA was 10 am. So They told me to call back at 8 am to reschedule apt. So I now have a 1 am apt. There is not much parking from what I can tell so I'll leave here tonight and get there by 1 am. I'm just north of Chattanooga. Caught up on some much needed sleep and about to get more. So we will keep you updated next time. These Wheels get to rolling. Have a good day.
mje Thanks this. -
Real Time Update. Just got a Pre plan for tomorrow after I deliver picking up in Gainesville, Ga loaded miles is 917 and empty miles 63. Pick up in Gainesville at 10am Deliver in Ankeny Ia 11/2/12 @4am
I do this load pretty much all the time I come to Georgia so its normally a drop and hook. Or what I like to call a HOOK AND BOOK. They (receiver)(live load) normally call me in about midnight or 1 am so by 4 am I'm already unloaded and on my way to my next pick up. So I normally get to the receiver early enough so when I'm unloaded I'll have fresh hours.
Load in Gainesville is a drop and hook but probably won't be ready till closer to 10. I should be empty about 3am tmrw morning. So I have to make sure I use time wisely because 14hr clock will be ticking. Have plenty of time to make it Iowa so no problems there. Anyway you guys be good. We back quiet.mje and scottied67 Thank this. -
Checked in at receiver in ATL. Backed into dock and still 30 mins before my appointment. Started driving at 915 so 14 hours will be up at 11:15 est. So hope everything works out would like to be on the other side of ATL tomorrow before rush hour after I pick up. But just might have to finish up an 8hr break in Gainesville.
Also you might say why are you going back to Atl when you can go through the woods. Those woods have little lanes and sharp curves so I make better time heading back down 85 to 285 to 75. So we back quiet till we pull those breaks in Gainesville.scottied67 and mje Thank this. -
Its been a long day and I didn't plan on all this driving. IF I would of known I would of got more sleep. So here's what happen. Got unloaded in ATL/ Forrest Park, Ga. At about 1:45 or so. Then I high tailed it to the blue beacon in ATL. There's one if it is still open near Forrest park but its not 24 hours. So then I only had half a tank of Reefer fuel so I went over to the Petro next door and filled that up since I knew I'd be dropping trailer, and it needs to have 3/4 fuel in it. Get To Gainesville told to drop my Mt and my trailer I'm picking up was in door 3 getting loaded. So sit in front of it till its ready. About 20mins later she has the bills and Dino is on the Road again. Got to the loves fuel stop just north of ATL on I 75 and filled up and my eyes were heavy so I deciding to take an 8hr break. I still have 5 hours I can drive and I had Planned on at least making it past Chattanooga. But my body was saying HOMIE Don't play that. So we will see what happens in 8 hours. You folks be cool on your stool and this dude is back quiet.
mje, Jarhed1964 and scottied67 Thank this. -
Just pulled the brakes after a late start of my 8 hr break which I think went was about 8 hr and 30 mins or so. So Just not feeling it today. Beautiful day sun is shining but that chicken sandwich made me alil tired. So decided to pull into the loves in Christiana, TN. Just 40 miles or so from music city. Would put me in rush hour traffic. So I'll take a 2 hr break hear and hopefully the Trill will come back on this next leg or its going to be a slow go to Ankeny. But as for now will leave the tune in your head from Mr. BB King. " THE TRILL IS GONE". After this break I hope to have some Larry the Cable Guy "GETTER DONE" So only time will tell and right about now its time for some shut eye.
scottied67 and mje Thank this. -
Well just pulled my brakes for the night slash morning. I'm not sure where I am. Somewhere in Illinois on 55. I was coming up on less then two hours to drive and didn't want to end up parked on an off ramp like I did last time because of no parking so I decided to look before my time ran out. Thought I was going to get back on the road, but there was a back dirt lot. 350 miles from receiver I think I'll go ahead and take a full 10 and then. Get my motor running and head out for the highway. Looking for adventure and whatever comes my way. Because I was born to be wild.
scottied67 and mje Thank this. -
Well It's not real time. But I forgot. So back up a few hours. I pulled the Brakes at the Receiver in Ankeny, IA and not waiting for my 4am apt. I got a Pre plan for next load and even though my PTA was set for 6am. My next load doesn't pick up till Saturday at 8am. Picks up in Worthington, Minnesota and Deliver in Roseville, CA 11/6/12 06:00 Empty miles is 225 Loaded miles is 1645.
At the present time I only have 25 hours left on my 70 but Saturday night will lose 10hr and 48min. I'll be running on recap the days following. Here is what's coming off the next days after the 10hr:48min, 2hr:25min,5hr:57min,6hr:56min. I'm thinking about going ahead and do a 34 In Worthington since I have such crappy hours coming off. I still believe I can make it in time. Then have enough time to get a decent load back out.
I estimate getting empty at 3am and driving to Worthington which may be a 4hr or less drive. Wouldn't leave Worthington till about 5pm on Saturday. Just checked actual miles and look like 1700-1715 from shipper to receiver. Weather should be good but never know what's going to happen on Donner. Well going to go get a bite to eat. Feel free to tell me what youuuuuuu would do on Real Time with Dino and others.mje and scottied67 Thank this. -
Real Time update. Just got a door and they are already starting to unload. Will be out of here in no time.
mje Thanks this. -
Early Bird gets the worm again. Unloaded already way before 4am apt. So ahead of schedule just less then 2 hrs and I'll have hours to head to MN. I actually still have time to drive. Just not enough to make it to shipper. Will give yall a holler more later.
mje and scottied67 Thank this.
