No, it’s cheaper to die. But can’t think that way, You have to do the best you can for as long as you can.Bk last resort. Not always necessary, Ride it out. They can’t get what you don’t have. Don’t even worry about it. Not healthy. My father had, 3 ins policies, one from work, he maintained after becoming disabled, Medicare, and a bcbs supplemental policy, yet he got bills for thousands regularly. I can still see him, smiling and ripping them up!!! At that point it didn’t matter, at all. Since paying was impossible.

As encouragement death has no meaning. Ive already been dead a number of times out here on the road. The last one in Fort Collins was really a near thing for me. One mashed driver. whew.

I do not seek it out. But if I see it coming I stand on my boots and fight. Because there are two people in this world as long they live, they deserve to have me around for them.

I was going for a 15k truck, 10k cash maint acct plus 12k line of credit. I'm trying to avoid a loan. However if I can reliably get 7 mpg off a truck that worked out to be about 9k a year saving from 5.5mpg out of a n14 at 80k miles a year. Approximately 750 a month average saving I can justify in a truck payment. Then again I have no clue how loans work for trucking

That's hard for me to guess if I'm down for a week I'll still have about 1000 in expenses add up not including the coast of repair and travel/lodging

You'll be money ahead by putting money down on a used truck and keeping the rest of your cash for emergencies and repairs. You can get a good used truck with a payment between $1300-$1700 a month. Yes you'll have a payment but you'll also have cash to be down a week if need be. But I don't mind payments. I'd rather drive something newer. Buying a truck for $15k usually requires about that much more put into it to make it a good reliable truck.

I have a 2014 KW that I bought in April of 2018. It had 406k miles on it. Price was $62,000 and I only put $3500 down. My payments are $1763 a month for 4 years. I wish I would've went 3 years. If you put $10k-$15k down you'll have a much lower payment. It's not hard to make the payments and I pull a van. My average rate per mile for all miles is about what you're using for your figuring.

I am leasing on to a small to medium company that handles dispatching and all that they are a core carrier for some lumber mills and brickyard and stone places. So I'll have some rate protection at list on my out run the back haul is still a guess.
I wanted to lease on to take a step at a time it seemed foolish to take that all on at once plus I'd want a much larger nest egg to take on that endeavor on my own

Do their loads take precedence or are they simply options for you to run? Will you be forced to take them?

Lol. That is why I came here. I can think and plot all I want but in the end I value experience over all else

Thank you. If I get my own authority one day I'll have to run a different gamet then my plan for leasing on. With what I have heard and seen I need about 50k as just an operation cushion. But that's not for 3 to 5 years
