I feel your pain stabob, and this might come of no help at all but I'll throw it out there anyway. I don't know where you are in relation to Lykes Brothers Farms, but I hauled sod with them, and out of their farms for quite a while. http://lykesranch.com/index.cfm Sod is a large industry down there as well as aggregates, I recall seeing a large pre-stress concrete facility on 27 as well from my travels down there. I don't know if you use www.employflorida.com at all, but they list openings by county, and a lot of the openings you see on there you will not see listed elsewhere on searches such as CL, Career Builder, or sites like that.

Your biggest issue is location. Sebring is pretty far away way from all the areas where there might be a decent amount of local jobs. The only thing I can suggest in that area might be one of the citrus haulers that haul the dump bodies to the juice plants. I used to see them all the time running 27 north and south.

I worked for P/C Miller out of Brooksville, FL and we hauled sod from their farms in Lorida, and Okee. I love that area of Florida, one of my best buddy's that I worked with at Pritchett was from Sebring, and I can't for the life of me recall the place he used to work, it's the landscape supply place right there at the corner of 66 and 27.

I started in August of 2003 and worked on and off for them until 2008. I call and talk to Jack every year on his birthday, he's back to driving again.

Yeah, jack drives part time but it seems like fulltime every so often, my wife cuts his hair (what little he has left!) August 03 was about time I was there but I didn't make it nearly that long, but always kept in touch with Jack. I'll be seeing next week at his job, I work there part time too.... Be safe and if you're ever in B'ville give a holler!!!

Well my name is Zach, I recall Billy as one of the crew guys, and I can't remember the other, heck it might of been you. Kenny was Jacks right hand man at the time, and also ran crew every now and then. I hauled sod, then went to the dumps working for Burt, then hauled debris with Wes for the longest time, and I still talk to Dave regularly as well. I miss the days at Miller, my wife took a pic a few weeks ago when she was down and it looks like a ghost town there now.

Things looking up yet Stabob? I know how it feels to be stuck, I feel like I've been stuck up here in PA for the last 18 months. I'm hoping sometime soon the wife and I can get ourselves back to Florida.
