That will get a response from corporate and likely some manager will get an ### chewing if you note the date and time of the incident.
Cetane+ and Ezrider_48501 Thank this. -
I had a walmart manager explain it to me. It went something like this. Walmart is a retail store, they are not a distributor, per their agreement with the oil companies they cannot sell in bulk. selling cases of oil is competing with the distributors. This was several years ago and I think that's how he put it.

Ironic considering how they crush competitors.

Honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Walmart knocked off its feet...but that'd put too any people out of a job and would be one less safe haven for us.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I've tried the same thing with my local Wal-Mart, they will only order enough to stock the allotted space on the shelf. There is a farm store that carries the oil I use (Mobil Delvac) in enough quantity of cases of gallons or 5 gallon pails to fill the back of my pickup, at the same or better price than Wal-Mart sells it for.

in my freightliner i always ran delvac 15-40 i would buy from a farm/fleet store in 5 gal buckets for less per gal than another guy i know pays per gal for cenex house brand 15-40 in a 55 gal drum. but Walmart sale price on the t-6 right now beats there price for the t-6

the reason they gave me is that "they have done it before and then the customers changed there mind and they were stuck with a bunch of oil" so i offered to pre-pay for it and there attitude got even worse. the entire time they acted like i was interrupting there nap time or something.NavigatorWife Thanks this. -
I hate Walmart, but if there was no Walmart then Kmart or Target or any number of others would just step up and be the big evil boxstore. It would put a lot of Chinese kids out of work if they went under.

Funny how somebody with such good customer service skills got promoted to manager. Not really surprised though. All most people working for someone else care about is punching out on the time clock and Wal Mart has more than it's share of disgruntled employees.
Cetane+ Thanks this.
