    I wouldn't worry about it I drive a base model Old Giltner truck( 1997 )with no drive train gauges and haven't had any problems I do keep up on maintenance..

    Did I say that that was the only reason for high temps? You are trying to take away from the fact that the gauges are useful. That’s fine. To each their own buddy. Nice try though

    I used those gauges in old iron for years. They are extremely consistent in telling a story about how she is doing today upgrade.

    Todays computer engineered trucks seek to dumb down truckers by removing as many gauges as possible to three or four idiot proof gauges only.

    If you have the premium dash you can add the sensors and then them on in the computer.

    It's very accurate too, I've shot mine with laser temp gun and the dash reading is spot on.
