Just be a little more careful, the same thing happened to me last december. The truck that rearended me was a local flatbedder and it totaled my 2500 sierra ! 15 days in ICU and 2 discs removed from neck and all is good, however due to DOT regs because I suffered a tramatic brain injury I'm requierd to take 2-5 years off !! Im happy to be ok but after 23 years in trucking it sucks to learn apon returning to work I will be considered a NEW driver again !!

Thats what we're hoping too, first medical review will be this coming december (no gimmie for a return im told) I do know the 20 extra years of soc. sec. contributions would have made a big difference but oh well....... The look on the drivers face when he found out I was also a driver and just returning home from Ca. was priceless, I was sitting at a red light and he was to busy on the phone so he tells the cop I cut him off, the only witness says "at a red light". It takes all kinds I guess
Godd luck to you in the future -
Thanks. Yea I bet that driver #### his pants trying to think of the next best lie. Hopefully everyone is right and your RTW is good. A driver without a truck is a computer without a hard drive.

Im glad to hear that you have found another job
just remember, treat that bubble around your truck as if its gold and youre afraid someone will steal it -
My personal perspective it a rear end accident would be a heck of a lot worse than my minor accident at a consignee with a failure to immediately report the incident. I'm curious as to how you found that work and what hurdles did you have to leap to get there as I am now finding it difficult to find employment atm.
