Thank you for the quick response.
It was while working for Werner Enterprises my first company after graduating on February. They finished my employment last Monday.
Rear ended a car and even though was a slight hit now not one company that will hire me.

Ok. And where are you located?
Victor79 Thanks this. -
I posted what I did from personal experience. Happened to me about 12 years ago. It was a tap, but I made contact. It scratched the bumper and trunk. Mega let me go.
I called EVERY company in those magazines you get at the truck stops. All told me the same thing. Finally found one that was more impressed that I was with 1 company for 4.5 years than my little tap.
Great company, great pay and benefits after 6 months. I got a crap truck but they put me in a brand new truck 2 months in. I had it made there. Was there 4 years before they sold and merged with another outfit out of the ports. They eliminated all company drivers and wanted O/O only. I left cuz the O/O package was crap.
Moral is, hang in there. Things will work out. Took me 4 weeks of searching till I landed another gig.
Best of luck to you.Chewy352, Badmon, Crusader66 and 4 others Thank this. -

You should put that in your profile.

Working for Werner means you were with one of the many bottom feeders. As someone else said in one of the posts, doing a rear end is a Bozo no-no. It doesn't mean you are unemployable though. But you're going to have to look hard. Somebody posted about aggregate hauling. I'm betting you would find some local outfit that would hire you to haul sand and gravel. And hot mix. Good time of year for it.
The job itself usually kind of sucks, but you can get some good experience out of it, and let time move you away from your bumper-thumper. Just keep your driving record clear with them. Get some experience, build your driving ability and your self-confidence. You might even get some varied experience there, everything from operating heavy equipment to a Mexican Backhoe. (aka shovel...)
And there are other class A license jobs around that might put you on. Smaller outfits, or perhaps a local LTL that might even start you out on the dock, and let you work into driving.
Good luck man, and don't let it get you down! -
Did any of vehicles car or truck you was driving have to be towed?

Tapping a car is bad. You cannot be doing that. I cannot tell you how many times cars with people inside stop dead in front of me setting up for a insurance scam etc. The last one that did it in the cross bronx southbound did not do it right telegraphing his intent long before he got into my lane ahead setting up for the stop in the rain where I had 5 lanes of pavement to work that ABS around him. He stopped dead, I kicked int he abs in the rain, missed him by that much in the rain to the right and settled her down to roll on for the GW with additional planning should he continue to follow me down through the brick canyons prior to the bridge. I used the oppertunity to make some distance at 63 before he finally got going again as a herd of people came up on him.
It's worth a battle just not to hit people. Any of my nearmisses could have been a tap or worse leading to a sitaution where I am not hireable at all. It is what it is.
Some of the best trucking is in places like Oklahoma and so on where there is hardly anyone around most times. Less to worry about. -
You need to be able to call and say, "I'm checking on my job application."
When companies have empty trucks sitting there and see a job application on their computer screen, it's much easier to be hired.
