It had to happen sooner or later. I remember reading that new drivers can get over confident after a year or so and I guess that what happened to me. I'm driving through a small town. The road is covered with snow but no big deal. I've got 75000 lbs so I'm not worried. I seen the mini van in front put on his turning light and slow down but I don't follow too close and figured he would have turned off by the time I got there.

By the time I realized he couldn't turn until a pedestrian got across I had to stand on the brakes. It was slipperier than I thought. I almost stopped but not until I pushed him forward a few feet. I barely had time to set the brake and this guy is already out of the van. I couldn't believe it, he's a midget. Bad enough I hit someone but you gotta figure it's a specially outfitted vehicle. So this dwarf basically runs up to the truck. My window's open a little and he jumps right up on the step grabbing the open window. The guy pretty much yells at me 'I'm not happy!'

Well which one are you? I says...

Yeah he heard me. I really couldn't make out what he said for a while after that. Jumping around, arms flailing. I felt really bad but talk about over reacting. It's not like anyone was hurt. This guy was just grumpy.

He just hit the jack pot of lotto's. Lawyers love to go after big truck companies and their drivers. It is a booming business with big pay outs. The jury would eat that up. A little vertical challenged man in a neck brace and body cast wheeled into the courtroom. My client was run over. Rear ended by a truck driver who was on high speed chicken feed and way past his HOS. Cha -Ching..........:biggrin_2554:

Not saying he was hurt or you were the above. Just saying if he plays this out it can unfold like that.

It didn't look too bad but then again I'm sure the bill will be huge. I'm sure it will cost me a pretty penny so I better earn some, off to work I go.
