Copy that , the fenders should be on the chassis you will tear off the ones on the tractor sooner or later , great idea the sandbox , id did a gig in Fairview MT next to Williston pulling a belly dump and all my windows were cracked and the truck was trashed , stock up on parts hose clamps for turbo hoses was my biggest issue and sooner or later you need a radiator when it shakes its guts out

You need to not to be cheap, and think, how much does it cost to replace a window compared to how much it costs for a good set of fenders?
AND I don't mean just the cost of the actual fenders but the downtime related to the install compared to repairs. TIME is money!!kameleon, stuckinthemud, x1Heavy and 1 other person Thank this. -

Uses to work for a company that ran off road trucks... They would put Lexan (not sure if thats spelles right) in the back windows... It is the same stuff used for safety shields on CNC machine tools to protect operators from flying metal or broken cutters when they grenade. Worked great... And we had temps well below zero in the winter months.
x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
Besides fenders, the OP could also build a faux headache rack.
Basically a cheap tube frame built from exhaust pipe with expanded metal welded to it and bolted to the frame, protects the entire back of the cab from rocks.x1Heavy and FlaSwampRat Thank this. -
FlaSwampRat and Snow Monster Thank this.
