Driving through Ft. Worth during morning rush hour, I had another vehicle slam their brakes in front of me. I felt that I had a sufficient cushion with traffic, but even though I locked my brakes up I still ended up hitting the guy. I was let go by my current company, and cited for "failure to control speed" by Ft. Worth Police Dept. Is my career over? I've never failed a drug test, and only been late a few times making scheduled appointments.

    Please Help!!!

    Are you serious?

Is your career over? What career? You mean your joy ride time?

Let me guess...racing to be in front of the big truck Swifty going slow to be safe on the off ramp/on ramp!

Another genius question from the peanut gallery....probably another troll question!!!!

You should be fine man. Just take it as a lesson learned.. i try to use smith system principles as much as possible. Like Ive said before on here, we had a guy roll a volvo sleeper ,a set of triples, the entire set destroyed, now he runs linehaul for fedex freight. Just be prepared to explain what happened to potential employers and whatnot. Best of luck to you man.

It will be hard to get another job for the next 3 years with a rearending accident. But nothing is impossible. Back in 2000 I was fired for refusing to pick a load up and go from Atlanta Ga to Denver while on medications. But what kept me getting on with other companies was 2 months prior I was involved with a rearend collision.

sir .....a little practice will help your new carreer ......look in the mirror take a deep breath and repeat after me would you like fries with that .....and please enunciate as it drives me nuts when we can;t understand you at the drive thru

but all joking aside fight the ticket if you can though the crushed four wheeler in front of you seems like good evidence of guilt and wait out 3 years .....don;t think many if any insurance companies will cover you after an accident like that so early in your carreer and if you can;t get insured you can;t get hired unless you live in chicago and have a russian accent
