Any rear-ender is the fault of the driver hitting the car in front, even 4-wheelies.
Unless, perhaps, proof can be provided that shows otherwise.
A dash cam might have helped.
Maybe.
In this case, as the OP made no mention of the car cutting in front of him and then slamming the brakes, but just that he 'thought he had enough room' - I would doubt it.
Drug tests and on-time performance have nothing to do with safe driving practices.
I see trucks tailgating cars every day, and I doubt those drivers have failed any drug tests or were late very often.
And I doubt they would be first in line to admit that they were not driving safely.Truckinchic Thanks this. -

Lone.. sorry this happen to ya. I try to avoid all rush hour if I can. I use to get bad road rage now Idc I keep more then a trk length infront of me in traffic. It's gonna be hard but keep looking. Work for a small company.
