No. It's not over. But it's certainly not going to be easy to find another job.

They do it all the time, the more I slow down the more 4 wheelers that get in front of me. If you have to go to first gear to maintain a safe distance, Do IT! Idiots in 4 wheelers don't have the skills YOU should have.
No excuse for that. As far as your job, I have no idea. I have been warned about using my Jake Brakes in the city more than once by 5.0 in the city. $50.00 fine is a lot cheaper than someone's life I tell Cops. They always let me go.

Just wondering, did the OP get any CSA points over this or just the ticket? Easier to get re-hired if the CSA record is clear.

Always assume the worst is gonna happen. One of those worst case scenarios is the car in front of you slamming on their brakes...

I'd like to be high and mighty and point my finger, but stuff like this does happen all the time and as much as I pride myself on being a safe driver, it could have easily been me in your shoes. From your other posts you seem like a standup driver and I'm so sorry for you.

I know I'll be buying a dash cam asap and will be leaving more space around me. I wish you all the best (& no, I don't think your career is over, but no doubt it has been set back)

Many companies have requirements of no more than 2, 3, 4 moving violations or accidents in the past 3 years. Can you find another job? Yes. Is there going to be rejections? Yes

Your previous work experience bears a lot of weight. You've been in the forum a while so I don't know your experience level. CSA2010 is another big concern of companies. They don't want to inherit a bad score if you have one. Being a local cop he probably didn't write up an inspection report?

There are no CSA points for traffic violations unless an inspection is done but a copy of the driver's MVR is required when applying for a driving job .

Well when it comes to El Lobo, you really DO have to assume the worst. As an example, he spoke of "Rear Ending" someone. That right there made me assume the worst. Particularly knowing his prison record and all. (No, not an inmate, he WORKED there. . .):biggrin_25523:
