The closest I got to teaming was my 'super solo' time with a trainer. Didn't much care for it

I couldn't team because the fear of what happened to the OP...and for maybe $1100 a week...o heck no.

Thanks for the laugh, Pete. The thought of anybody being able to team with you long enough to get out of low range is a good one. :biggrin_25523:

Ok, first and foremost, I too am glad to hear no one was injured. That being said, I can say this. That when I HAD TO team, as per company policy when I first started out, if a team truck got into a crash, BOTH drivers WERE CHARGED with a preventable. Doesn't make any sense, I know, if one is in the sleeper, but the "theory" that particular company had was "if one will crash, so will the other, as they both work off one another". I did "my time" as a team driver, and please believe me, that I had team mates transferred out of that truck, just because one wouldn't shower!

So please, please, make sure you speak with safety IN PERSON if possible and see if they are going to "find a way" you too will be charged. And also, if that Jesus toting driver hasn't been fired, make sure YOU REQUEST another team mate, or go on your own.

True this statement. Many times I have read that 2 people want to team up, because they have been friends for life. But what they NEVER understand is that, even though that truck IS BIG on the outside, it IS surprisingly SMALL on the inside, when 2 people try to live together. I have always believed that those nice big condo's were meant for picking up a lot lizard for a few minutes of fun (and disease catching), then throw her out, then be alone to enjoy peace and quiet.

    Yeah, me too.

That IS a big problem. For me, when parked for my break, and laying down, that slight vibration of the engine idling rocks me to sleep. However, getting "rocked" going down the road is a totally, totally different story.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.. And G. Anthony that was the first thing on my mind they are not charging me with anything. Anytime anyone at the scene asked for my information i told them not to ask me personal questions like that and they got the message real quick. My dispatcher said im not getting blamed for it as long as she took the blame which she did. Havent asked safety i will call them today actually.

She is a 58 year old woman but looks 68. This crash traumatized her she is quitting trucking (well she is getting fired but she said she is quitting the industry entirely).

I made it 8 months riding team i will hold my breath for another 3-4 months then just find another gig. My company is team only for me to ride solo i would have to find another job and my opportunities with 8 months vs 1 year are such a big difference it doesnt make sense to jump ship yet. I was about to but my boss loves me and after the crash basically promised to give me whatever i want if i stay.

    We will see.
