Reasons not to team? I teamed twice 1st with a trainer. He was a hothead, squareing off and getting in other truckers faces at truckstops! He didnt like their backing skills or thought they were going to fast in the lot or blocking the pumps. Road Rage also yelling out the windows, give em tha finga. Not joking(couldnt believe he never got in trouble or fired. But,hey he was a ROAD WARRIOR.He could back in to anywhere 1st try no pullups it was crazy.Ate these weird rye bread sandwiches with some kind of weird mustard on them. Had 10 or 12 Led Zepplin tapes ONLY! Played 1 after another. Thats All he wanted to listen to. He ran paper log, didnt stop once, all the way from Missouri to Terre Haute Indiana.Could have swore he was snorting lines. But,hey he was good at showing me what I needed to learn about driving and backing in,so I stuck it out for the 30 days. Then teamed up with another rookie, woke me up lost trying to find consignee. Correct exit# but South Carolina not Suwannee Georgia. We were 120 miles off.Glad hand popped off going down mountain in Salt Lake City. I awoke to air warning guage beeping. Awoke another time to missed shifts and grinding gears. Struggling to make it up a mountain without coming to a complete stop. Anyway this is Why I dont team.

Reason #1 to team... You'll always have a designated driver.
...depending on the perspective, that could be another reason not to team. -
dog-c, HotH2o, Snowshoes and 1 other person Thank this.

A thread about why not to team started by a guy who runs team?

boss once asked a coworker and I to run a hot load, as a team Denver to Houston to make a ship. I told him to double my pay for the run and I'd run it non-stop and sleep after the drop. No way in hell I'm running team, I have days where I can barely stand being on the same planet with my wife, let alone being in an 8'x8' confined space with her.
