Just checking, they required a nursing degree, not just any liberal arts degree?

Also does it matter a lot whether you graduate from a nursing program from a prestigious U or a Podunk U?

Nursing degree. As long as you graduated and got your licence it wouldn't matter what university you went to.

It's not just about how much you make, it's about how much you spend on the road. Life on the road can get expensive in a hurry. To be successful, as a company driver or an O/O, controlling your expenses is as important as your miles and cpm.

Lets take food for example ~

    Driver 1
Breakfast - 2 banana and an orange juice, $3.00
Lunch - Half of foot long from subway, $2.50
Dinner - the other half of the footlong, $2.50
Drinks - One gallon of water and one 2 liter of pop, $3.50
    Snacks - 2 apples, $1.00
    Total - $12.50

    Driver 2
Breakfast - Steak and Eggs, Coffee, $12.00
    Lunch - Burger w/ fries and a soda, $ 10.00
    Dinner - Buffet w/ soda $12.00
Drinks - Coffee, Energy drink, soda, $7.00
Snacks - Beef jerky, chips $10.00
    Total - $51.00

Gives you an Idea of how you can spend an extra 40 bucks a day without hardly trying. If you are on the road 300 days a year that's $12,000 dollars in extra spending. That 30k doesn't sound so good now does it?

    WOW!!! :biggrin_2556:

Anyone eating that much every day on the road is without a doubt a big bag of ***!!!

As a matter of fact, if you don't learn very quickly how to buy your food at China Mart and pack it into a thermoelectric cooler or frig in the truck, use your little portable electric skillet and small coffee maker, and buy 6 gallons of water at China Mart (for .78 each), you are not going to last more than a few months. Every dime of your paycheck will go to the truck stop restaurants (assuming you can actually FIND a restaurant.... sometimes it's hard to even find a truck stop).

:biggrin_2554::biggrin_2554: Good question, similar to when the war of 1812 was fought.

Do you actually mean, when are we going to start seeing the affects of CSA? It should be starting to show, will more so within the next year. CSA was placed into affect Dec 2010.
