Just rebuilt mine 2 weeks ago. Did a Jost replacement about 2 years ago on a different truck because it was $600 at pete in Rockford IL and liked the Jost just fine. This time I was quoted $900 for Jost and $550 for Holland rebuild kit and ended up getting the Holland kit from Napa (with saddle bushings) for $425.
Sounds like Rockford Petes tryin to shove it in me hard if the others are still getting them for $600.Didn't realy question the price jump since steel has gone up considerably in 2 years.
Any hoo. The plate it self was in fine shape. The only thing worn were the 2 pins that go through the jaws. I suspect they were'nt lubricated correctly from birth.
Took about 5 hours including a 1/2 hour steam cleaning and then 45 minutes to clean myself back to just dirty status.
If yah got a cherry picker, hot wrench, 2 lb hammer and a box a beer, I'd say go for it(If the plate aint scrap)

About a year ago, I had a jost replacement done to mine, believe the cost was around $700., I have to check my records to be sure, but been great, no slack in 5th

Yah, if you can, and you want too rebuilding is fine. But to pay for a rebuild at the dealer is out of the question, replacing is the only way to go dollar for dollar.

Latest Holland 5th wheel price.
Today I checked 5th wheel prices at Pete Dealer here in Spokane and found out that Holland brought their price down closer to a price of a Jost 5th wheel.
As of today a new Holland 5th whell plate sells for $ 725.95
Bushings - $12.99 each
Pins - $20.19 each
I am thinking of replacing my worn out Holland for this price next week.
