2013 Cascadia DD13 with 575k miles has codes for injectors #5 & #6 injector, #6 injector ohms out of spec. Dealer's injector price is around $500 each, rebuilt injectors on eBay price around $250 each. Anyone has experience with rebuilt injectors other than from dealer? Sellers of injectors on eBay claim their injectors have new nozzle, new spool valve and come with 6 month or a year warranty. Obviously the warranty means nothing if injectors are of bad quality causing break down and rework.

I really should be an influence becuase I have no experience with buying eBay reman injectors. But for me, piece of mind with quality units that are double price is the way I would go. Think about labor costs and down time or being stranded becuase a cheap unit failed. That warranty still screwed you in the end

I would not trust bay injectors.Dealer or reputable aftermarket supplier that will warranty products.

I'm somewhat new to semi truck I don't know who's a reputable aftermarket supplier for semi truck parts yet. This seller on eBay deals in fuel injector only and has 99.6 positive feedback so I'm hoping...

This particular injector is manufactured by Bosch, obviously the dealer part is the best quality but sometime you are paying for the name and not getting any more value. I have been in the auto repair business a long time and familiar with the practice of 'brand name' vs 'house brand', the same exact part in 'brand name' box will cost more than it's in a white box.

Some sellers "idea" of rebuilt" is just simply cleaned out & tested for flow.Good ones will have all new parts, nozzles,o rings, filters, solenoids etc.& also be "matched" to flow within 1 to 2% of each other. Can be a gamble on E bay. Sometimes you get something equal to or better than a Bosch. If youre changing them yourself, this makes a difference also.Saves cash if you can install them. You Dont want them suckers leaking ,starting a fire,so new o rings are a necessity.Good luck to you.

Im guilty bought 1 off eBay from guy in Jackson Tn.$175 vs $400 For my 12.7.It’s been over 4 yrs ago.So far so good.My reasoning is the others are old. I think if replacing all 6 I’d buy 6 pack original Detroit . $2000 for 12.7 Basically Buy 5 get 1 Free. Try calling different Dealers for best prices.

You do know that worst case a bad injector can burn a hole in your piston?
I do most off my own repairs but something like injectors i would have my dealer install so i'm covered just in case.

Just get the OEM new or reman. Yours are cheap, my isx is about 1,050 reman, 1,300 new, same amount of warranty.

Well, I got the 'rebuilt' injectors from the seller on eBay and it turns out to be a big disappointment. They appears to be USED injectors with OLD o-rings still on them, see pictures.

Thanks to everyone who responded, if anyone's looking for good prices on Freightliner parts I would recommend Han's Freightliner in Cleveland, Ohio they give 30% off list price.
