I thought all deliveries by LTL to residential weren't considered "delivered" until fully installed to the wife's satisfaction?

My Mom and GF bought me a kegerator last year for my birthday. Delivered on R&L, I talked with dispatch ahead of time and told them SPECIFICALLY which way to come in - there is an easy way, a hard way, and a "ya dun messed up" way which seems like the easy way from google maps. When the driver called I told him again. He comes in from the wrong direction, which means he CANNOT make the turn into the alley.

I tell him we'll just use the pallet jack and go thru my neighbors driveway.

He says "I'll just pull through, I can make the turn at the end". (no, he can't)

"What about those wires?" I say pointing to the 12 foot clearance on the cable between my neighbors house and his garage.

"All wires have to be more than 13 6" he responds. The look I gave him made him think again, so he decides to try and blindside into the alley. This is a turn that the garbage truck struggles to make, a 48 footer with a day cab isn't going to work. He spends 15 minutes and still hasn't gotten the dot bumper past the curb line. I finally convince him to circle the block and we use my neighbors driveway (the alley is beat up ashpalt, neighbor has nice new concrete). Total time from him setting the brakes to releasing - 5 minutes.

The next day we had a new dresser delivered. Guys were coming in a box truck, so a lot more options for them. They pull up in front, do a quick survey, and say "we'll just walk it up the driveway".

So it's either going to go really well or you'll have a story to tell.

Oh, I know them as flat packs. No, I got "semi custom". Means the cabinets are a standard size, but built to order.

I have a 96.5" ceiling. That's with 2 layers of sheetrock on the ceiling and 1/2 inch of extra flooring above the original hardwood. My design has 30 inch and 42 inch uppers so the height from the floor will be whater fits. Likely 54.5 or there abouts to make the tall ones even with the short ones on the bottoms.

And the neighbor across the street is getting their roof replaced right now. 11 pickup trucks lined down the street...

They did say if it doesn't rain they will be finished today. If it does rain, they are at least warned about might having to move them tomorrow.
Good thing though. The old cabinets I was just planning on cutting up and tossing in weekly garbage, but I can use their dumpster once they are done pulling all the old shingles off if there's room.
