I did, but I was OTR first, and the road is in my blood. I also don't have the patience for local. Me and local traffic, not a good mix!

I was like that at first also until my employer went to an automatic transmission for all of their trucks. Automatics are a godsent.

It has nothing to do with automatic vs manual, but the fact that I would end up running a lot of idiots off the road!:biggrin_25524::biggrin_2559:

I just ignore the idiots. I won't honk the horn, slam on the brakes or swerve. When people pull dumb stuff around me and realize that im not slowing down, they typically get out of the way in a hurry. Lol

More skills? Doubt it. First define a skill because driving without stopping for long hours as OTR drivers do is a skill.

Please stop doing this.. find your pride.

    From being bored.

    LOL. YEP.Lol... yep

    LOL..........

I drive 10+ hours a day often and don't consider it a skill . Don't get me started on "back in the day " with armstrong steering , no a/c , etc .

Well, usually anything above average one can do can be considered a skill. Not many people can drive 10 hrs often. To do so requires endurance which takes work both mentally and physically to build that kind of endurance. So... yes, you do person that sells himself of a lesser value than what your worth.
