Earned my Huey enlisted aircrew wings in Milton, FL. Ellyson Field shut down and transferred all of us to Milton.

 

That's awesome @Chinatown ...I flew the MH-53E and went through advanced training at Whiting in Milton.

I'm sure you were either in the below squadron or knew some of the guys who were. I met a few former members through guys I knew in the service. Those are some stories.

 

Yeah, several of my buddies were killed in HAL-3.

Yes, airborne mine countermeasures and heavy lift. Small specialized community in the navy, only two squadrons.

I lived there (Innerarity Point), as well. Place isn’t changing for the good, like most of FL. People are so much nicer, here in the midwest. I don’t miss the heat and humidity, either.

 

Me and the family moved to Milton about 16 months ago. I have a great job not in trucking but would like a bigger paycheck so glad for the updated posts!
Thinking about going back into it. I know I looked into May Tucking about 5 or 6 months ago but never applied
