Ok here's my situation. I graduate Central Tech in Drumright,Ok this coming Frday. I was looking forward 2 working 4 Tyson Foods when I got a call from the recruiter tell me that I hava 2 many points on my driving record. Sucks! Not 2 make this story long but in 2009 I went 2 C1 trucking school in Missouri & got my permit but never finished school. I guess as a policy Oklahoma had 2 transfer my past MVR history 2 them. I came 2 CT trucking school got my cdl & on my driving record I'm clean. "0" points on my MVR. But since my information was sent 2 Missouri, when Tyson pulled up my driving record, all my past history 4 the past 10 years came up. Giving a horrible driving record score. Needless 2 say I didn't get the job. As I thought I understood it, once I got my license here all my past information was suppose 2 transfer back 2 Oklahoma like it was when I got my permit. What I'm tryin 2 figure out is did that information come up because I put my permit information on the application in fear that it would come up neway, or did it come up when they ran a background check on my current license. I've never gotten a ticket in Missouri & all the ticket from Oklahoma are over about 5 years old. I've talked with Missouri DPS and they said that it would take up 2 10 business days 2 have the situation review 2 take all that info off since I've never lived in Missouri. Can anyone give me any advice, I'd greatly appreciate it. :biggrin_25521:

Just get a copy of your MVR.

Some states you can do it online, in about 2 minutes !!!!

We had a guy in our class that graduated and 2 weeks later called the school asking for a refund!. It seems he couldn't find a job with any company as he had 3 DUI's on his record. You would think he would have not even taken the class with that stuff on his record. The school fulfilled their agreement in teaching the guy so I don't blame them for no refund. Now tickets older then 3 years I would think you could get hired. I myself have a 100% clean driving record and no criminal record. I hope I will find my first job soon. I will probably have to start out with a self insured company, but I hope after a year or so I will be able to move up the ladder. I start looking for that first job next week.

i did get myy MVR but it shows only 1 ticket i got back in 2008. All else have fallin off. but unfortunately when the info was transfered it wasnt transfered back and all info as far back as 1999 shows up in Missouri. What im trying 2 find out is did the past citations show up because i included my permit with the application or because they did a background of my cdl. Its my understanding that they check all 50 states when a company run a MVR check, or maybe just in the state you reside in, not really sure. Neway, id appreciate the help.

By the way i have nothing else on my record. No DUI/DWI, FELONIES, ACCIDENTS,etc. Just some tickets from my past that are 2 old for a company 2 even have 2 worry about. Jst dont wanna fill out another app & not disclose everything but # the same time not disclose more than needed. especially if its relavant.

It's real simple. As most of us have said for months now- You fill out the job applications as they ask you. No less and no more. If you try to cover something up or lie they can catch you and then you're really screwed. So it shouldn't matter how they find out just do as they ask.
